This evening at 715 pm i called for a cab to take me from my daughters home at 3805 lakeshore blvd. west. A very busy road. When the driver arrived he just sat in the road and did not pull into a parking space and there were several empty spaces. I gestured for him to please pull in but i supposed he did not see me as he continued to sit in the road and wait for me. at this time i headed to the cab and the cars along the road were approaching one had to swerve to avoid hitting the cab and beeped his horn at the cab,. as i was getting in. We head to my residence at 166 Alderbrae ave which is not to far away. A 6 dollar cab ride. The driver then proceeds to stop in the road again to let me out. I explained to him i would not be tipping him as i did not appreciate being picked up in the middle of the road and then let out the same way. When i get out of the cab i must hold the door as my legs do not work well. The door shuts very strongly due to my having to hold on to get out. As i walk away from the cab the driver gets out of his cab and yells at me. "Do you think you bought the cab for 6 bucks, mumbled something else i could not make out then called me an idiot. Now i take cabs at least 2-5 times a day and i do prefer the kingsboro company but this was disgusting. I am home because of an accident year ago where i was run over twice by a snow plow. my legs were broken and my pelvis fractured. i have panic issues and i even told the man i had the accident in the hopes he would understand my need to be in the driveway and not in the middle of the road/. I will not use this company again if this is how they allow their drivers to speak to a good customer this way or any customer for that matter. I don't care if it is a small fare or a large one respect is necessary.
