Add legs and skirt to the island: $17, 200 ... really? That much?? And you had quoted me for a huge island without legs?
Replace three pullout drawers with a hole for a microwave and a trash bin: $18, 000 ... really??? We moved up even though we now have one drawer instead of three????

Okay then, get rid of the skirt and legs - I'll get them myself, and also instead of painting the island, stain it, which is cheaper: $17, 500 ... Wait a second - we went up probably $1, 200 when we added these items, AND we went with a cheaper finish and now you'll knock off $500 if we take them out????? REALLY?????????????

When I explained that the math just didn't make sense to me, he replied, "That's what it costs. I guess we can't do business." What's it matter to him, as long as there's a sucker born every minute.

Why else would a company have to operate under so many names: kitchenplace.com, cabinetsdelivered.com, Absolute Kitchen & Bath Marketplace, SmartCraft, Fashionable Enclosures, etc.
