Defective Fabric/No Customer Service
Buyer Beware. We just purchased a love seat and sofa March 6, 2009 -- it was delivered April 8, 2009. On April 20, 2009 we noticed a tear already in the piping around the seat cushion. Only myself and husband on the sofa -- we have an infant, but we hold him in our arms, so there is no use/abuse by children. Between my husband and I we have made 8 telephone calls, including 2 to the corporate office in NC. We were given such a run-around from the Wilm., DE store, and a woman named Carol there that I have now contacted the Better Business Bureau. Finally someone in the corporate office called an actual working number where I got yet another individual, who at least said he would look into the situation and phone us. This furniture is not even 2 weeks old and has already had a defect in it. Poor craftsmanship. We also were hoodwinked into purchasing a warranty for stains on each piece of furniture. The "salesman" told us the furniture was sprayed with a stain resistant protector which was good for warranty for 5 years. Again, after a dozen calls we finally got someone in the Springfield, PA store to give us te he correct infofmation that the furniture is not "protected" with ANYTHING. It's all a scam to get you to buy the warranty. Please do not think that we are high maintenance customers, we're anything but. I got some sob story that they are short handed in the Delaware store because two people walked out last week (I wonder why???). Honestly, the furniture is not cheap, and you are better suited to go elsewhere and get better quality pieces from a company who will stand behind their product.
