sales person rude
Called K-mart pass road in Gulfport to ask about chair, that was on sale sales person was very rude.He could care less about what i was calling about.Not helpful at all.

survey
the $2, 500 kmart gift card survey is a scam and i think some one should help out the people that get trapped in the scam. people are buying stuff from kmart becouse they think the survey is real and that they could win the money that kmart say's they will give away.

Shady buisness practices
This store has recently let go several employees that have worked with the company for over 25 years, in order to replace them with younger people that will work for minimum wage. Is this how the company treats its dedicated employees. These people helped to build this store up and now they are left on the street.
I will no longer support a company that treats people like this.
BOYCOTT KMART AND THEIR SHADY BUISNESS PRACTICES!!!
No store that treats the community like this deserves my buisness.

Bad service
My 4 yr old daughter received 2 Diego Wii games for Christmas this year. I had bought her one at Kmart and her cousin purchased the other one for her at some other store in another state. So, I searched for the receipt to return the one I bought but could not find it.
I figured I shop at our local Kmart frequently and the item was unopened...still in plastic wrap...so wouldn't be a problem to return. Boy, was I wrong!
I have never been treated so rudely in my life. The customer service rep asked for my id and called the manager to the front. The manager then proceeded to tell me that they can not refund without a receipt. I told her I did not expect a refund but would like a gift card or to deduct the price of the game from another game since that's what my daughter wanted. This rude manager actually cackled! She told me I was not getting anything from them. That the game was probably stolen and that's why I did not have a receipt. What???
I stayed calm and asked didn't they have a Christmas return policy? Not everyone has a receipt for something they received as a gift. She informed me no and that if I didn't have enough sense to keep a receipt, don't come in wasting their time and walked off. I stood there just at a loss for words. The customer service young lady said she could look up the purchase by running the credit/debit card I used to make the purchase.
Of course, I had paid in cash. Times were tough this year and I had set aside cash to purchase all our Christmas items so I wouldn't be tempted to purchase more than I had planned by using a credit/debit card.
So I'm stuck with a 2nd copy that I don't need/want.
I can sell the 2nd copy of the game easily I'm sure and give my daughter the money to purchase another game. I'm just shocked and amazed at how I was treated by this store manager. The manager has personally waited on me many times at the service desk and even in the checkout lines and always has been pleasant. This incident was just way out of line. I shop at this Kmart a couple of times a week cause it's just a 1/4 mile away from our home and Walmart is a couple of miles away. Not any more though. I will not set foot in this store again and will recommend to friends/family that they take their business elsewhere as well. Kmart is higher than Walmart anyway and I've never anything like this happen there before.
If this is the way Kmart treats their customers, they will not stay in business for long anyway. Might as well make the switch now and have a laugh when they finally have to close their doors.

on 2/12/09 I went there to return some items, the person in customer service, was very rude and server other people while waiting on me. I would think that in this ecomoey that they would have nicer people serving thier customers, this is not the first time I was treated badly there.but it will be the last. because I will never go to that kmart store again, ther are a lot better places that I can spend my money. cashier;Leah R RE: #0922002120902582500 I hope this will help other shoppers

2500 contest
They said it was a 10 minute survey. I spent over 2 hours answereing question after question. Finally gave up and was never asked for the receipt number. I am so angry I will probably never shop Kmart again!!!bf

checkout
had to change checkouts 4 times they were either running down a price check or going to lunch or register not working so changed lanes 4 times before someone finally could do their job what a hassle very unhappy hire some people to do price checks and have back up for lunch do something very bad experience. my receipt #03710 020809 004 53305 i think not printed clear on paper

portable psp
i visited this store at x-mas and purchased a portable psp and still have my original receipt. Last week my son was playing with this game and he laid it down for dinner went back to get it and inside the game the screen was cracked and not on the outside which was very unusual. It was like maybe a default because usually the outside screen cracks. I took the game back to the store and still had the original box and receipt which stated that any item on this receipt could be returned by 3/20/09 and that psp was on the receipt. I was told by a manager I am assuming that I should have purchased a warranty and it would have been covered and that I should have read the back of the receipt. When you have spent over $200 of your hard earned money to buy a x-mas present and it does not hold up with in an expected frame of time at least until next x-mas you would expect your money back or a replacement. I received neither, simply I was told to have a good day and sorry. For the amount of money I have spent with Kmart and the amount of money spent for that particular toy I should have been reimbursed. Please tell me what can I do to get this matter settled, and do I need an attorney. I really like shopping at this store and have spent lots of dollars in there layaway and just visiting it on a weekly basis. Some of the employees know me by name. I probably will never buy another electronic toy from kmart and after today I really am not sure about shopping there. It is awful that you have a favorite store and get treated like this. I would like to hear from you as to what can be done. Thank you for reading this.
