Accused of Shoplifting
On Dec. 22, 2008 I purchased a Mamma Mia DVD from Amazon online. It arrived at my home in the mail on Dec 29th. I live 35 miles from Enid so I called some friends there and asked them if they would like me to bring it down to their house and we all watch it together. The next day I put it in my purse and drove to Enid. I needed some cough syrup and Vicks cream so I stopped at KMART there to purchase it. As I was going out the door the machine went off saying I was taking something out that I obviously shouldn't be, so I stopped in wonderment because all I had was what I bought. Then I remembered I had put that dvd in my purse but could see no reason why it would cause that to go off in KMART when I had purchased it online at Amazon! The clerk from the customer service desk came over and scanned it and it had the same barcode as the ones in KMART-why I have no idea. She wouldn't let me have it even after I explained I had purchased it online and called some man up to the desk that so much as told me I had taken it from their store and wouldn't let me have it back. He went down back and brought one up and the store's had a KMART sticker on it and mine didn't and told me I would have to go get the packaging it came in or I couldn't have it back. I had thrown it in the trash. A friend called me on my cell phone at that time and said she would go into my e'mail and print out the receipt I got from Amazon for it and fax it over to KMART. The woman at the service desk was being extremely rude and totally ignoring me and would not give me the fax number. Another woman walked up to the desk that worked in the pharmacy and gave the fax number for over there, but only after I threatened to call the police. My friend faxed the receipt to that number and they took their sweet time about even bothering to look at it. Then she called the guy back to come and look at it and he did and then asked for my license, I guess to prove it was me. Then he handed me the dvd-never appologizing for the inconvenience or anything. This time totalled to over 1 1/2 hours. I am a 64 year old disabled woman with a very bad back that has bothered me ever since this happened. I am considering calling a lawyer about the pain and agony they put me through. I had a very good upbringing and have never stolen a thing in my entire life. I feel these people should be fired for treating customers in this manner. I will never shop in KMART again! I hope everyone reads this complaint and stops shopping there because there is no need to be so hateful.

$2,500.00 contest for kmart survey on customer reciept. no survey exists on website 1/1/09
customer reciept advertised a $2, 500 contest prize for kmart feedback if visited within 7 days of reciept. my reciept was dated 1/2/09 at 11:33 am. i tried to visit this website the same day at 4:21 p.m. no website found for this contest.

lack of checkout line for disabled
I am disabled. I went to Kmart store 7098 on Tuesday, Dec.30, 2008. I was using a handicapped scooter to get around in the store. When I was ready to check out, I went to checkout stand #1. The sign overhead was not lit, but the cashier told me it was closed. The sign said that the register would be open at all times for the disabled. I asked to speak to the Manager, but I was greeted by the supervisor who told me, "Sorry, we can't help you on this register, but you can go to customer service." At customer service I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was not available. I want Kmart to stand by its promise to have a cash register available for handicapped people at all times!

First of all this is a deceiving website!
Visited the k-mart in Blue Ash, Ohio. The store is not kept clean. Trash was left in carts and there is just a general tackiness to the store. It does not cost much to keep a store clean and looked after! The manager needs to be more deligent about this.
I picked up some lipstick that I thought was on sale. But I found out that it was not on sale, only specific shades of the lipstick were on sale. That seems like a semi-deceptive policy.

Cashiers
Was in you Store 7444 and had to wait in line for about 45 minutes for 1 item. Cashier's were doing a lot of talking with customers. If you go to Target and lines start to form there is a call over the intercom that tells all people that can work on the registers to come to the front.

giveaway on receipts
I took the time out of my day to log on the website stated on my receipt..to only find out it does not exist. I think Kmart officials need to apologize to all of us out here trying to promote this phony site of a giveaway. We all went to your stores and purchased items during the holidays..we had alot of choices in the malls with discount of up to 50-75 percent off, but no we went to Kmart and this is the thanks we get during this time of recession. 1 register open
I was in the Kmart in Danville Va yesterday 12/21 at 1:19 pm Only 1 front register was open, with about 12 people lined up in it, since I only had about 12 items I walked back to electronics, there were 2 people in line. The cashier was very hateful, called the manager back there and told her that she couldn't do anything for people coming back to check out. I told them both they needed to open more registers up front, that it was riduculous to have only 1 register open up front at this time of the year.

Did not get an item we purchased
I was shopping with a client of mine on Tuesday the 16th. He had a purchase order from DHHS for household items. He purchased a bed in a bag from the Auburn KMART. When he returned home he realized they had forgot to put the item in the cart. He had quite a few items and needed two carts. The following day when I went into work my client informed me of the missing bed in a bag. I called the Auburn, ME Kmart and explained my situation and the lady was very friendly, but placed me on hold to speak to another lady. They said they don't know of anything being left behind and asked me for my number so someone could call me back. They never called me back! So I called and spoke to a third lady. She asked what the item looked like and went to try and find it, while i was on hold. She came back and said she thinks she found one like i t but it was a twin. I informed her that he had purchased a queen. She said i will hold this for you in layaway and you can just come in and pick one up that you like. So it's Saturday and i make a special trip to Auburn 45 minutes to pick up my clients bed in a bag and... once a gain got the run around. I explained to the lady at customer service who got the manager. He went to check layaway to see if the set was there. I happened to see the guy who cashed us out. I had a feeling he would remember us since it was his first purchase order and he needed help form another lady. They DO NOT give out receipts so I have no proof that my client purchased a bed in a bag. The manager went with me to see if we could find the bed in a bag. They were sold out of the exact one my client picked out. I asked if i could just grab one similar and the same price. He informed me that i could not. The only way to get another one is have my clients caseworker dispute it with Kmart. In the mean time my client is left without a bedding set all because it was never put into the cart. You would think if something was left behind they would hold it for you . I asked what they do with things left behind and they said it goes into carts and then put back of the shelfs. I was not very satisfied with Kmarts customer service. How hard would it be to look up the purchase order with my clients name on it. Also ask the staff that worked that night about a bed in a bag being left behind. Surely someone picked it up and returned it. I personally will not shop at Kmart again unless this gets resolved. I will also make sure our agency does not get purchase orders for Kmart.
