Terrible Service
I really don't know how Kmart stays in business! I was given a gift certificate which is why I went in there. My experience with Kmart in the past has never been good and this time was no exception! It was so hot that the cashiers looked like they would pass out. One cashier told me that the air conditioning has been broken for months and this store is in the desert. I asked to speak with a manager and was given a snotty attitude from a cashier named Valerie. After about half an hour a manager named Larry came over and I told him that the heat in there was making me feel sick and I can't shop in that atmosphere. He just gave me a dead look, like "who cares?" and started talking to the girl at the "service"desk...some service! I heard many other people complaining as well. This place is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and don't shop there.

No return without a receipt
I received a bath gift set as a Christmas gift, but due to allergies, don't use many scented bath products. My husband brought it to Kmart today to get store credit. No, of course we didn't have a receipt. The item was unopened. They would not take the item back without a receipt. He went and got an identical item from a store display to show they sell it, talked to a manager, but still, they refused to take it back. So now I'm stuck with an item that I'll never use and will end up just "regifting" or letting it get dusty on a shelf until I come across it 5 years from now, then throw it away. But it's okay because Kmart got their $$$ for it. It doesn't matter if we're happy or not. Customer Service?? Not even close.

false advertisement
There is no wed site to inter the survey for the chance to win a 2, 500.00 gift card from kmart site name to enter is kmartfeedback.com and then to enter your 19 digit receipt number from your receipt my number is 03881 121308 027 69355 date of visit 12/13/2008 site must be visited within 7 days of the date of purchase. Bad Customer Service
I went online to Kmart.com a week ago to look for a video game and was told it was out of stock and that I could sign up for a notification when it was back in stock. Signed up and received an email a few days later. Within 1hr of receiving email that it was back in stock I ordered online along with a few other items. Then a few hours later I was told that the item was in stock and my order for that item was canceled, but not the other items. I immediately called Kmart, within only 3hrs of the order being placed originally, and they told me that it was too late and that the other items would ship.
I am being told now that I have no choice but to try to catch the UPS man or if they leave the package to contact them and have it returned. This is going to cost me time and potentially money if I have to take the package to the UPS facility. It is ridiculous.

This isn't really a complaint...I just wanted to set the record straight here: there IS a website called Kmartfeedback.com, and there IS a survey that you can complete, and when you are finished, you are given the opportunity to enter into a drawing for a $2500.00 giftcard - I know this because I did it myself about two minutes ago!! So I don't really understand what all the fuss is about, but Kmart is on the up-and-up as far as I'm concerned!!

Horrible customer service
I bought a microwave oven at Kmart 6 months ago, it just stopped working. I got out the book, spent an hour on the phone with Sears/Kmart customer service, got transferred 3 times, and ultimately ended up with "D. J." from Kmart Customer Service. I told him the microwave was 6 months old and I had the box. I told him I did not have the receipt, I said if I take it back to Kmart, will they exchange it for me? He said yes, just take it back and they will exchange it. My car is a long walk from where I live, I lug this huge box back to my car, up to Kmart (Streetsboro, OH) and in to the store, for them to just tell me sorry, we have a 90-day return policy. Then, why after I spent an hour on the phone would the customer service guy tell me to take it there? I never would of gone through all that trouble otherwise! The store manager; Chris Flood, was quite a little twerp. Went back home called customer service and all I got was I don't know why he told you that, but you'll have to call the manufacturer (Kenmore, I don't recommend them) and get it serviced! It supposedly had a 1-year warranty when I bought it I can�t believe they won�t exchange it � Microwaves should last longer than 6 months! I don�t want to know where I am going to have to drag this thing next and how long it will take. I am so pissed! I use it everyday.
Do yourselves a favor people; shop Wal-mart, the customer service is much better. No wonder Kmart was going under until Sears bought them, now I hope they still do.

overcharge/scan accuracy
I am very upset I went xmas shopping I only have 1 day to shop because i work in retail also but when I looked at my reciept when i got to my car I $ 9.00 in mistakes I had just waiting in line because of another issue with the person in front of me but I am paticient due to my job but I watched the stuff ring up but it looked as if it was ok but it was not I bought some kids items that were 5.99 each or buy 2 and get them for 8.00 well they all were 5.99 no discount taken off I am very dissapointed due to Kmart is the only store i like to shop at. I pass a WalMart and a Target because of the normal good service but lately nothing rings up right and if its wrong you have to go back and get the wrong sign to prove you are right, like the woman in front me.
please look into this issue cause I love Kmat and want continue shopping there.I drive 25 miles to shop this store with Walmart only 2 miles from me.
