Return Problems
My 83 year old Mom bought me a pair of shoes from KMart. It was sweet of her to get them for me, but they were not my style, so she said to return them and get what I liked.
Meanwhile, she could not find the receipt. I told her not to get upset, because the tags and the box were in tact, so there should not be a problem returning them.
When I got to KMart the girl said all I can do is exchange them for another pair. I told her I did not like the shoes and realizing I did not have a receipt, I did not expect a cash refund, but store credit would be fine, I could get what I wanted. She insisted I could not do that. I asked for a manager, and he said okay.
My Mom paid, $19.99 for the shoes, the girl said I would be getting a refund for $7.00, that's what she said they now cost.
I told her My Mom paid full price and she did. My Mom was also upset that her gift now was only $7.00. I was so upset, that I took the credit, but I will never, never, shop with KMart again.
This is the Holiday Season, people lose receipts, especially 83 year olds! I am out $1200 and KMart lost yet one more shopper.

lack of cashiers at Christmas time
WE WENT TO KMART YESTERDAY (12/22/07) TO DO LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING. UPON COMPLETING OUR ITEMS WE WENT TO CHECK OUT IN THE EXTREMELY LONG LINE (20 PEOPLE), FOR 2 CASHIERS. WE WERE IN LINE FOR 40 MINUTES, AND DURING THIS TIME THE LINE INCREASED TO 40. SOMEONE REQUESTED MORE CASHIERS ON 4 OCCASIONS, AFTER THE 3RD REQUEST, 1 SHOWED UP. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY, THIS CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS AND WITH LOTS OF PEOPLE IN THE STORE, ONE DOES NOT SEE MANAGEMENT, OR OTHER EMPLOYEES. I DID NOTICE 12 CUSTOMERS WITHIN THIS TIMEFRAME LEAVE ITEMS ON THE FLOOR AND WALK OUT. WOULD LIKE TO SAY SORRY ABOUT THE CAPITAL LETTERS BUT I AM EXTREMELY ANGRY !!! IF I DON'T HERE A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM BY 12/30/07, I AM REPORTING TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. OH AND BY THE WAY RECEIPT# 0372812220700289304 AND STORE # 3728....AGAIN STORE # 3728.....IN PINEVILLE, LA.

Rude clerk!
Cashier Chris was very rude from the beginning of the transaction to the end. I had a $10.00 off coupon to use toward my purchase if I used my Sears card. She picked it up and very snottily told me that in order to use the coupon I had to put my purchases on my Sears card. I was not ignorant of the requirements to use the coupon and I did not appreciate her comments. She also was the one who looked right at the sale tags and overcharged me for the products anyway. There are many people who are looking for jobs, and let me tell you, they can probably do a much better job than she did.

No such site!
Tried several time to get on the kmartfeedback.com web site to tell them about my shopping experience to win a $2500 gift card and there is no such web site. Kmart needs to stop printing this on their receipts if this does not exist.

Unsanitary bathrooms!
I am writing to file a complaint on several different subjects regarding your Elkins, WV Big KMART store. Every time I am shopping at this store the bathrooms are unsanitary.(no soap, no toilet paper, trash and sanitary napkins lying all over the floor, no paper towels.) I have brought this to the sales clerks attention several times, nothing is done. Also, several occasions I have asked sales clerks for assistance finding prices,since nothing ever has a price on it. I was told on my last visit when I asked a passing sale person a price check on an item," I don't know and I don't have a scanner with me," then she just walked away.

False internet coupons!
The Printed coupons on line were good until 12/23/07 for use in store. Went to the store to purchase 2 piece rug set at 59.99 with a$15.00 off coupon I could not use the coupon. Sales clerk called management states computers are not set up to take internet coupons. I responded if the coupon wont be honored then I do not want the rugs. If Kmart is going to offer discounts on line they should be held up to accepting the discount.

False advertising!
Retail Customer's feedback hot line does not exist, K-mart request comments regarding the customer's shopping experience at it's Glendive, Montana outlet. The experience is usually very bad to terrible, due to poor wages and K-mart's inability to properly train and or trust it's human clones aka robots.

False advertisement!
I have shopped at Kmart for years and prefer them over Walmart but this $2500.00 gift card survey is upsetting. I tried several times to find the website for the survey and even went back out to the store to ask about it but no one knew how to do the survey. I see that there are several complaints and I believe the Kmart/Sears companies should compensate the customers that tried to participate in the survey but were unable to do so.
