Accused of Shoplifting
Curious to see how many others have been harassed by Kohl's?! I went into Kohl's to return a bracelet to the fine jewelry department. I had returned a few other items (all which needed to be defectected out and all from fine jewelry) and when I left the security sensors went off. I was patted down and they went through my purse and accused me of shoplifting and returning stolen goods. (a note; the Daisy Fuentes long sweater I bought three weeks prior had a sewn in sensor which I did not know about and had made many store sensors go off, CVS, Wal Mart, Etc...had no idea that was sewn inside the sweater...near the bottom) Anyways, I started returning several pieces of jewelry because of their shitty quality (and high prices). I did not have receipts because I had planned on keeping originally and until the stones fell out and/or turned black, the bracelet broke, I took it to the jeweler to fix and it broke again. Therefore, it really angered me and I took items back. Now they are accussing me of returning stolen merchandise (because I had no receipts and return several items I had bought over the past 2 years...their return says "easy returns, no questions asked...etc!!) Now, I am told I am under investigation?! They did search me (and found nothing of course) and took my picture and told me I was not to return to Kohl's or I'd be charged with trespassing. I am extremely angered that 1. I was accused of something I did not do; 2. I feel that now I have to defend myself (and when you've paid cash for a lot of items how do I prove I bought it!) I will NEVER buy another item from Kohl's (which will save me approximately $400/month probably!) Buyers use caution with this store!!

rudeness
At closing, the store manager, Sherrie, was very rude to my entire family. She was aggressive acting to my 18-year-old when she had to go back to a shelf to pick up a correct item at two minutes after closing. She was agressively hollering at myself and my eighty-year-old mother that they were closed as I was helping her in the dressing room. We bought $300 in clothes. She was very snippy. I understand that people get tired. Perhaps she needs to be an associate if she can't handle closing the store without being rude to the tailenders that all stores deal with. Most good businesses put the customers first instead of their personal feelings. Other occupations aren't allowed to yell at people they are serving without recourse.

Service
I visited the store with my infant son and was browsing and shopping. I shopped in the jewelry dept for a pair of earrings and looked at some rings that I decided not to purchase.
Upon paying and existing the store, I was confronted by a man stating he was store security and he began accusing me of steeling from the store! He suggested I had put items in my son's diaper bag and took me to his office where he and a female employee searched my son's bag and my pockets! They were visibly upset when they could not find the items on my person or belongings. The said they saw me take items and they wanted them back. I was treated as a common criminal, interrogated and searched! Never shop at another Kohl's store!!! I sent letters to their CEO, store manager, corp. headquarters, filed complaint to BBB and Consumer Affairs. How dare they treat me like this!!!

applied for credit card in December, 2008 and as of yet 2/10/09 have not received it
I was doing my Christmas shopping and when I was checking out of the store, I was asked if I wanted to apply for a store credit card and receive a 10% discount. I said yes, and after 22 minutes of the employee not knowing what he was doing, I was told that I would receive the card in the mail. Now it is 2/10/09 and I have not gotten the credit card. My question is how do I go about finding where this card is?

Working Conditions at Kohl's Dept. Stores
Here's the gist of my complaint:
*Kohl's understaffs their stores... 15 people for a 88, 000 Square Ft Building. One... yes one, maintenance guy for the day and one at night.
*When employed, if they want to fire you, they don't... they just remove you off the schedule and give you less and less hours each week. (saves them unemployment $).
*Saftey violations everywhere.
*Aggressive credit card push... every 15-20 minutes over the loud speaker, telling you to open an account. Every morning in a meeting they emphasize credit, credit and credit... nothing about customer service. People are literally pushed in to opening an account.

A SALE ITEM RETURNED
I PURCHASED A KITCHEN RUG ON 8/12/08. THE PURCHASE PRICE WAS $ 19.99. THE SALE WAS BUY ONE GET ONE 50% OFF. I ONLY PURCHASED ONE BECAUSE I ONLY NEEDED ONE. WHEN I GOT HOME THE RUG WAS TOO LONG FOR THE AREA THAT I NEEDED IT FOR, SO I RETURNED IT ON 8/15/08. I AM COMPLAINING AND UPSET BECAUSE MY RETURN VALUE WAS $ 15.40. I FEEL THAT IF I PURCHASED SOMETHING FOR $19.99 AND I DECIDE TO RETURN IT, THAT I SHOULD GET MY FULL REFUND!
I LOVE TO SHOP AT KOHL'S. IT'S MY FAVORITE STORE, BUT I DON'T FEEL AS THOUGH I SHOULD JUST GIVE THE STORE MY HARD EARNED CASH !!!
