I brought a 2005 Burick Rendevoux 10/9/07. I took the truck back for a oil change 11/27/07. I was on my way home and th truck lost power at the end of the tunnel. I called them and they sent a tow truck for me. They had the truck f or almost three weeks. They replaced the fuel pump and wiring. I asked the mechanic did he run a diaanostic and he said yes and that many codes came up. I asked the man, Mike, who was over the Service Department how many codes came up and he said one. January 2008, I was on my way to work and stopped at the 7 Eleven to get coffee. When I came out of the store and put my key into the ignition the key would not turn. I had the car towed towed to McCullogh Motors (towing $100.00). They said I needed a complete steering colum (cost $800.00). I called Koons and Mike said, " have it towed here, it won't cost that much and it might be under warranty". I had it towed back t0 Koons and it was not under warranty. It cost me almost $600.00 and they cracked the piece that goes over the steering colum (towing $120.00). I called Koons and asked the saleman if he take the truck back and give me something more reliable, that it could be a car and he saide he could not do that. February 2008, the truck begin not to start. It would start evey two days. March 2008 the truck shut down. I had it towed another service center and had to buy a new battery and was told that it was a crack in the intake manifold and it had no antifreeze, (cost to repair $730.00). The truck started to make a knocking noise when I would backup. I asked koons and other service centers if they heard it when they drove it and they said no. I took the truck to Moons Auto Center because the truck started steering funny. I had the upper and lower control arms replaced (cost $900.00). I left the shop to get an aliement and the right axal broke (cost $250.00 plus towing $50.00). I had the another battery put in because it begin to not start again. Now May, 2009 I'm going to the credit union, driving on Route 50 at 55 mph and knocking, popping and smoke is everywhere. I tought the truck had caught on fire. It cost $150.00 to have the car towed to Moons Auto Center. The insurance adjuster came and sid it was not fire. The smoke and smell came from the oil on the engine. The adjuster said the push rod was bent (cost with towing$2, 100).
When I brought this truck the salesman said it had only been on the lot three (3) days. I strongly believe that this truck was not thoroughly checked, that the truck was so clean inside and out, they did not check the truck out and I got caught with a dysfunctional product. This truck has ruined my credit more, made made me car poor and depressed me because I could not pay my bills, a car note, pay to have it fixed, pay for towings and taxi cabs.
