Broken web apps, security risks

Application blocks users of other browsers and OSes, like Firefox on GNU/Linux. It can be bypassed by using the User Agent Switcher extension <https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59> on Firefox, but no one should ever have to do this. This is one of the worst practices of bad web design. A web application built to standards <http://www.w3.org/> shouldn't have to worry about compatibility, anyway.

Worse, they recommend installing out dated browsers that pose a security risk to users, they don't support a single modern browser! Supported browsers are Internet Explorer 5 and 6, and Netscape Navigator 7. IE5 is essentially extinct. Even Microsoft's general manager for Internet Explorer says, "Friends don't let friends use IE6." <http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9136739/Microsoft_Friends_don_t_let_friends_use_IE6_> And the link to download Netscape Navigator officially announces end of support and suggest upgrading to Flock or Firefox <http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/download/archive72x.jsp>.

OS support is limited to Windows 98, 2000, and XP. Windows Vista, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, BSD, Solaris, etc are not supported. A decent web application should be completely agnostic to the user's Operating System (it should work as long as their browser implements standards) and the user should be free to choose the OS and browser of their preference.

By blocking other browsers, they give the false impression that they don't work or are inferior. Don't believe Kronos/Unicru's FUD. It is their applications that are broken. And please DO NOT install one of their suggested insecure browsers.

I submitted complaints and suggestions to Kronos over a year ago and got nothing but canned responses that didn't even make sense and then got ignored. And evidently they haven't even begun to address these issues over a year later.

If your company is using or considering using Kronos' Unicru for employment applications, please encourage them to fix these issues or take your business elsewhere. These issues can make your company look unprofessional, backward, and even stupid.

Job Applications/Discrimination

I recently applied for a Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. I had to apply about 8 or 9 times before saying "screw it."

Why? Well, gee, I don't know. Let's ask the lousy excuses for human beings who created and operate KRONOS/UNICRU.

And let's ask the lazy, cheapster corporate drones at CVS corporate headquarters who thought it would be a grand idea to partner up with Kronos/Unicru!

Evidently they like to discriminate against well qualified applicants on the basis that they don't prefer "being in a big crowd." Has anyone else been required to complete one of these dipshit applications with the psychological operations quiz at the end?!?

I'm NOT a felon, I have NO arrest record, I went to school to become a pharmacy technician and GRADUATED WITH HONORS AND PERFECT ATTENDANCE, and I have EXCELLENT references from school and former employers- including evaluation documents and current telephone numbers!!!

The Pharmacy Manager told me my resume was "impressive, " and that he was interested, but could do nothing until I completed the online application- which would then be sent to him.

WELL..THEY never sent the application to the manager!

Since I AM qualified to do the work, and I DO NOT have a criminal record, the only thing I can think of is they just don't think I'm charming enough!

OH, don't you know? People who are quiet and don't prefer crowds are destined to abuse the customers and wreck prescription orders! SUCH ABSURDITY! No, absurd is not even the right word..there IS NO word to describe this! This is a new level of bullshit from another dimension!

The Pharmacy Manager at the local store is a nice guy, I met him. The rest of the staff seemed nice, as well.

However, the lazy douchebags at corporate headquarters and the sociopathic buttplugs at KRONOS/UNICRU can all rot in hell. I suppose the decent, qualified, self motivated people (who NEED work) who are tossed into the "red pile" in favor of underqualified, arrogant dingbats with speech impediments who happen to dig crowds, are nothing more than COLLATERAL DAMAGE, right? Gosh, that's so Dick Cheney! I wonder if he owns stock...
