It takes 1 minute for a company to make a fraud charge to your checking account and it takes the Wachovia customer 20 hours in emails and phone calls to correct it or just give up. Mostly because Wachovia customer service failure to take corrective action. They have no power to do anything but give out phone numbers. It is not worth it. I am cancelling my business account and I am feed up with Wachovia. I was charged $39.95 on my checking account by Discover. They do not know what it is. Wachovia does not know what it is. But they gave me phone numbers to call. I called the number Wachovia gave me and no one answers the phone. I called Bank Of America, Wachovia, Discover a few times each back and forth. Wachovia suggests I put a stop payment for a fee of $35. I am deployed and I cannot cancel my account so the reaccurring charges will continue. This happened last year as well. When I get back I am use I will owe a lot in overdraft fees. I will not pay it. I have learned a lesson in this. I have to find a small town bank.
