Money was drawn from my account from my credit union via a payment processing company L3Sales. I did not authorize this company to deduct any payments for a merchant that is a client of theirs. I disputed the charges with my credit union and paid the overwithdrawn amount in Jan totally unaware that whom ever stole my info applied for a monthly service.
My credit union left me hanging stating that it was my problem to slove that they could not assist me and I could not close the account until the account is no longer negative. For 3 months payment were taken from my account sometimes more than once. I contacted L3sales and asked them to close the account however, they could not locate the account from my name phone # email home address, or savings account even after I gave them the ABA routing # and my account #.
If you have any advice on how I may go about sloving this matter please by all means let me know. The company that appears on my statement with the telephone # for Jan and Feb is L3Sales their # is 888 205-2664 for March the name that appeared is Netac however I could not locate this company on the internet.
My credit union is Kemba in Cincinnati the # is 762-5070 ext. 607 The banch manager is Mr. Ryan, he became irritated when I mentioned that maybe I should call back with him and the other party on the line he was nasty and stated that "THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO FOR YOU". hE also said that they are pulling my leg.
I feel like since they are my bank and the other party could not help, this institution should at least gave me suggestions how to go about getting the issue resolved like reporting to Federal Trade Commission, the Ohio Consumer Protection Agency, The Better Business Bureau, etc... I was appalled to hear that they did not have a fraud department.
They made no attempt to find out who the clients are that are demanding to be paid after I stated that I did not purchase the goods or service. I was also told by the branch manager that I did not dispute any charges in Jan when I came to the branch and filled out 4 forms disputing each of the four charges that appeared on my statement. He stated "WE HAVE NO RECORD OF IT". I even canceled my debit and asked that a new one be issued. I was not aware that internet purchases can be made without a debit visa card and that people can be billed from ACH transactions.
When I got home March 16, 2007 I called the branch manager and he stated that I could return to the branch to dispute the charges filling out the proper forms. I waited for 30 min to see him in person then was sent home and later told what I needed to do when he could have told me when I was in his office.
The address on the business card that I took from his office is 1045 West Eight Street Cincinnati, OH 45203. I feel that people who work in this line of business needs to be better trained to recognize fraud and contact their clients when things looks strange especially when it comes to internet charges.
According to the person that I spoke with at the 888 205-2664 number, she stated that the name that appears on my bank statement mostly bill clients for adult entertainment and gambling.
