Bad quality & bad service
I bought two demi sofas from LazBoy less than 2 years ago. I figure out that the joints behind the sofas are coming out underneath the fabric. I figured out these when my daughter was running around and scratched her arm. They have not used any protection between the fabric and metal joints, so no wonder they are coming out underneath the fabric. I have 5 years protection on the fabrics, but unfortunately like any other warranties, there are tricks underneath the words. Warranty only covers the spills but not manufacturing defects; what a wonderful world. If you care about your loved ones, be careful about the Lazboy Demi Sofas. I thought I was buying quality from La-Z-Boy, but unfortunately I was wrong.

Awful experience
I sent e mails to Mr. Pruitt, the owner of all seven LA-Z-BOY in the bay area, on 1/17/2004, 12/06/2004, 12/10/2004. I explained that the two reclining massage chairs I purchased did not have the massaging power of those chairs I tested at the store. I explained this also in an e mail I sent to Ms. Rodriguez on 10/25/04. Both of them refused to replace the weakly massaging chairs with ones conforming to the ones I tested at the store or to give me back my full refund. Both chairs have discolored within a couple of months.

Rebate Fraud
I purchased more furniture than I need because of La-Z-Boy's appealing offer of a $1000.00 in food and fuel rebate offer. 6 months later I received one rebate and now the rebate place for La-Z-Boy have closed their doors. La-Z-Boy has been duing this scam thru out the United States. The last place in Florida with hundreds of thousands of customers in Feburary of 2009, the attorney general of FL. stepped in, So La-Z-Boy knew about this in July 2009 when I came along. Oregonlive.com and www.complaintsboard.com/complanints/la-z-boy
So La-Z-Boy gets there money and hides behind there attorneys.
La-Z-Boy of all people! No wonder they have to advertize so much. And all the people in area get scamed. AGAIN

Terrible Customer Service
My wife and I ordered a sofa and an ottoman after we got married because we had no furniture. So in August we placed the order with the sales rep. and he told us it would be 6-8weeks, we thought it was alittle long but decided it would be worth the wait! Then 6 months rolled by, we asked what happened. The customer service lady was very rude to my wife and said she has no idea why its not done, and she has no way to contact the factory! Then we finally get our sofa but no ottoman! They had no idea where it was. It took another 3 months for them to get it to us and when it arrived it was the wrong COLOR!!! So they sent us another one and it was the wrong COLOR again!!! So we finally had them give our money back(for the ottoman) after 10 months of pain and agony, NEVER SHOP AT LA-Z-BOY AND ESPECIALLY NOT THE ONE IN TUKWILA WASHINGTON! THEY ARE ALL SO RUDE THERE AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL.

wrong shiipping order
I had bad experience with La Z boy Sugarland. I bought 3 items (2 reclyner + 1 sofa) from the la Z boy store sugarland (w/ sales name: steve) to ship to Indonesia last year. When they're arrived, I found that 1 (one) of item, reclyner was changed with another series without any confirmation or permission from me (CD871372 to C845168), moreover I'd paid with different prices on my order. I am still questioning, is this the way they sale their stuff to people or customers, especially when the customers are coming from outside country? or is this only just one of million "thing " that might happened due to "something" else...I don't know... Hope, they will have the solution for this problems...

LA-Z-BOY Customers
I have shopped at many LA-Z-BOY stores in Long Island, New York. I don't understand why people are complaining about not getting their way after a warranty expires. Warranties cannot last forever and nothing can last forever. I had my La-z-boy recliner and sofas for seven years and it still looks brand new. I have purchased bedroom furniture from Macy's that did not last more than two years. After my warranty expired my wood began to crack. Macy's did not come out to fix it because my warranty expired and I worked for them! Did I complain no my warranty expired! What do you expect. Stop complaining about delivery fees which have to be charged to run warehouses and pay the people that run them. You don't work for free and why should they? Stop trying to get something for nothing. If they gave everything away for the price you wanted sure you would be happy but they would be out of business and then you would complain about them no longer in business. Bottomline people when you brought that stainsafe warranty the salesperson told you to call within a certain time frame and stick to your story, but no you didn't listen. Now you want to complain about something you know you had fault in. Customer's are not so innocent and are not always right. I am a consumer and I overhear customer's complaining about things because it did not work for them. Then the customers that really deserve to complain are not heard because of the customers that don't admit fault.
Get a life and make only legitimate complaints! Delivery fees? Come on.

Does not honor advertised rebates
I purchased an expensive sectional couch from La-Z-Boy. I qualified for $500 in free gas coupons with the purchase. I have faithfully sent in all required documentation to receive gas coupons. To date, I have only received one $25 rebate. La-Z-Boy contends that the gas company issuing the coupons is to blame. La-Z-Boy needs to stand behind its promises.

Bad service
About 4 weeks ago I purchased a La-Z-Boy home theater set from the clearance department of my local furniture store. I now need a replacement motor for the power recliner and the store told me that since it was purchased on clearance that La-Z-Boy would not honor the manufacturer's warranty even though I was the orginal purcahser. I called La-Z-Boy and got the same story from them. I do remember seeing that items are "as is", but I don't recall seeing anywhere on my recipt nor posted in the clearance department that the manufacturer would not stand behind their product if you had problems later. I have never experienced customer service like this before. Is this an industry standard for furniture manufacturers? I can only hope they get to make the same discovery when they buy their new car at the end of year clearance sale from the car dealership. "I'm sorry your transmission went out on your 1 month old car. Oh wait, you bought that on clearance so we didn't sell it to you with a manufacturer's warranty. Sorry, but at least you got a great price on the car. Would you like to consider trading that in on new model?"

Don't buy
Don't buy La-z-boy recliners the fabric will not hold up. I bought a recliner 16 months ago and the fabric already is wearing through. Warranty is only 12 months and La-z-boy refuses to do anything after warranty expires. Call store referred me to customer service. Will not help you after warranty time had expired. No discount, no nothing. I truly recommend that anybody looking for recliners or furniture don't buy from La-Z-Boy it is not worth the money and customer service is worthless. Stay way from La-Z-Boy furniture IT WILL NOT LAST.

Delivery charges
I purchased a recliner from our local store in North Aurora and was told the delivery charge would be $59.99. After a discussion with my husband he said he would pick it up. I called and was told I would have to go to the Bolingbrook store which is not real close to our home to pick it up or pay a $35 charge to pick it up at our local store. Who delivers the chairs to the local store? Why should customer have to pay to pick up locally? What a rip. This is my last purchase from LazBoy.
