Rude staff
I arrived in FL after traveling 1, 500 to help my 78-year old mom with doctor's visits. Arrived at the Brooksville, FL LabCorp facility and waited for just over one hour for routine bloodwork. After the person next to us was called to have her blood drawn (she told us that she did not have an appointment and arrived approximately 20 minutes after we did), I approached the front desk and asked "How much longer will it be before you take my Mom" since she needed to take her medications asap. The person at the front desk, Lisa Marsh, responded "she'll be taken in when I call her, this isn't a fast food drive through." How rude. I immediately asked for her name and the name of her supervisor. She refused to give me the name and contact number of her supervisor. She proceeded to be increasingly rude - I needed to find out how much longer it would be before my elderly mother was able to take her medications and her 2nd response was "this isn't a fast food drive through, sit back down or leave.." She then proceeded to ignore me and put my Mother's paperwork at the bottom of a pile of papers to be processed/. At that point, she said that "you will now be called after everyone in the waiting room has been called - you will get called when I decide you will" and, at that point, proceeded to make a phone call?. I cannot remember someone so rude - she should not be dealing with the public in any fashion.. We decided to leave and take the test elsewhere - on the way out, she said "ha, I was going to take you next, now you are leaving:." I had to request the paperwork with the script on it four times before she would even return it so we could leave, . All for a routine blood test; this is inexcusable'. "Just shut up and sit down."

Terminated and screwed for getting hurt
My wife was hurt while working at LabCorp as an employee. After paying for the immediate medical bills, but refusing to pay the long term disability payments, they terminated her for being disabled and unable to perform her job there.
The settlement for the Worker's Compensation claim includes a dismissal with prejudice to preclude any further legal action, a statement that my wife "voluntarily resigns from and agrees not to seek reemployment" with LabCorp, and a statement prohibiting discussion of the case or settlement. That's why this is being posted prior to enforcement. This is LabCorp's way of "preventing" bad publicity. By the way, the settlement is about 1/4 of a year's wages, and she has a number of years to go before retirement. How's that for caring for your employees?

Injury/Fraudulent Billing
Labcorp previously injured my arm during a sample draw so I then had a friend(RN) go with me to draw my sample.
Later recieved a bill from Labcorp for 21.00 for a Veinapuncture they did not
perform.
They continue to bill me for the balance (including the fraudulent veinipuncture)
despite my contacting them 3 (!!!) times.
PLUS, my wife went to ER with severe back pain and submitted
a urine sample which the DR told us was full of infection.
Labcorp said the sample was clean and without infecion. So? whose
urine sample did I pay for? Certainly NOT my wifes, as stated by the DR.
BOTTOM LINE: I feel LabCorp is the MOST Unprofessional, money
driven business on the planet. Who does not care about the services
or fraudulent billing they IMPOSE upon people while
hiding behind their sister corporation- Labcorp collections. Thus,
holding their clients hostage via credit ratings.
Beware !!!

Lack of consideration for experience
I have applied online for jobs at labcorp at least three times and each time was given what's called a gallup test which consists of a bunch of *** asenine questions. Nomatter how you answer them you will never be qualified for the job you are applying for. In each incident I answered differently and was told I wasn't qualified because of my answers. If that's not *** and frustrating I don't know what is. Whatever happened to being hired on experience?? And of course if you email them for a "study guide" you will get no response cause it's an automated reply telling that you failed. That is surely one thing that can be considered the epitome of stupidity.

Unproffesional
Recently had to start going to get regular blood testing for INR. Have to use Labcorp due to my insurance plan coverage. Found the waiting room at the location I visited to be withing earshot of the check in desk with no privacy for the patient. Reception was somewhat unproffessional and unfriendly, tech's so far haven't been very good at blood draws, have to dig around in your arm until they can finally hit blood. I've been handed other patients papers asking to verify my name, which of course is wrong since it's someone elses papers and a different test. Had on set of results sent to some other medical center, not my doctors office, and found out two days later when that office called to find out who I was and why they had my INR results. Had to contact my docs office and get them to contact Labcorp for results. Next visit was met somewhat rudely by reception when I mentioned about where the results should be sent to and had to discuss the problem with the defensive receptionist in front of the waiting patients in the waiting area. Still haven't got the INR results after the last test, not sure whare they went??? Wonder how many peoples health has been affected by these people, looks like it's not isolated to just a small area, but a company wide problem.

Rude did not deliver results on time
Had to do a drug test twice, they would not write down the medication I was on and treated me like a criminal, not like someone trying to get a job. Very rude. Had to test twice because I was told my first test was inconclusive. Had the same treatment at the second lab. Test results are supposed to be turned around in 72 hours, and mine got lost in the shuffle. Caused me to loose my chance at a really good job by delaying my start date by three weeks. I have lost time money and patience with these incredible rude bitches in the office. I even offered to pay to go to a different company and pay to take my own test because the people are so incompetent. Hey I know gathering urine is not a great job, but they have a job and now I don't. I see a lawsuit for damages and lost back pay soon to follow.

Don't care about its people
As a long time regular at a labcorp in crestview hills, kentucky, I am upset of the departure of the tech who had been there for about a year and a half. She was 4 months pregnant when they got rid of her, i have seen people throw things at her, call her some of the most vulgar things, i have seen people try to bully her at closing to do their labs or drug screens, also heard stories of incidents where a few people have put their hands on her. For months she begged her supervisor to get her out of that location, and she even went to counseling for job stress, but her supervisor did nothing. I know this because we have become close over the past year and a half, they left her to work by herself knowing she was going through severe morning sickness. Not once did I ever hear about her supervisor coming down to look into these issues, instead, she left her down there basically to suck it up and deal. She is not the only tech to have put up with these issues in this service center, the 2 prior to her put up with the same kind of abuse..what kind of company lets their employees be constanty abused like this...here is one even better they have still not sent her anything on cobra and they let her go on 9/21 and terminated her health coverage on 9/25...for god's sake the girl is pregnant, how does a company leave their people like that...I still talk to her and wish her the best, she can do better than a company that refuses to deal with a lazy, harrassingsupervisor he does nothing but obviously hides in her office doing only god knows what...
if you are smart take your business elsewhere.

rude employee
I had an 8:30 appointment at Labcorp for a test that must be performed before 9:00 am. I expressed my concern as I was waiting. When I finally got to the phlebotomist (after 9:00), the receptionist told him I was "paranoid".

Unacceptable wait, understaffed
I was sent to the Boerne TX Labcorp July 6, 2010 after a doctor visit to obtain sampling supplies for a stool test. Upon arrival there was one other person at the reception window. The attendant finished collecting her information and admitted her into the testing area. I stood up but the attendant was quick to inform me he wouldn't be able to assist me until he had finished with the young lady. This must have taken about 20 minutes, during which another client joined me in the waiting area.
When I got my turn at the reception window the attendant entered my information into the computer, apologizing several times that the computer was unusually slow to respond. I was then admitted to the back area where the attendant gave me the collection kit and instructed me in its use.
I returned the next morning with the samples, expecting to be able to quickly drop them off and be on my way. Instead, I found there were three clients in front of me and I would have to wait my turn. All of the customers ahead of me had multiple issues requiring the attendant (the same man from the first day) to make lengthy phone calls to obtain or confirm information. This, together with the time required to take blood samples, meant that I waited well over an hour before being allowed to turn in my samples.
Although the attendant had taken all of my information the previous day, he said I was "not in the system" and he had to collect and enter all of the data a second time. I was surprised when I was asked for a credit card, since my insurance was expected to cover the test. I was informed that it was a LabCorp requirement (there was a notice taped to the reception desk window) and anything the insurance didn't cover would be charged to my card. While I found this policy offensive there didn't seem to be any alternative.
Having only one person to handle logging information, confirming insurance and doctor's orders and taking blood samples results in a very inefficient and frustrating experience. I'm concerned that a mistake in sample identification could easily be made in such an environment. To his credit, the attendant was polite and professional in this difficult position.
