Linda Hicks and 2 companions picked up a Percheron gelding from us on July 2, 2010 at 9:30 am to be delivered to Chico, CA. It is now July 12, 2010 and the horse is missing. We were told on July 6th that she was broke down in Des Moines IA and then she broke down again on July 9th in Cheyenne WY. Both times myself and the buyer were told she was at the FORD Dealer getting repairs. We have called all the FORD dealers in both towns and no one has any record of her or the truck. We have asked repeatedly for info on where the horse is being boarded and for photos and Linda has ignored and avoided giving us this info. We are now extemely worried and will be reporting this horse as STOLEN. We feel we have no other choice since our phone calls and texts are being ignored. The buyer wants to go to Cheyenne and pick up the horse herself as of today July 12, yet Ms. Hicks says no and will not tell her where the horse is. DO NOT ship with this woman or her company. There is something very, very wrong going on here! I have found another site called horse-transporters.com and there are numerous messages of this exact same problem happening and horses taking over 3 weeks to be delivered!! If we had seen this site prior to shipping the horse he never would have set foot on her trailer. Both of us are worried about the horse and hope to find him soon and get him to CA. safe and sound! Please avoid this transport service and save yourself and your horse from going through this type of horrible experience.
