I'm getting components to build a computer and Lagoom.com had a few compelling items on my list though I ended up with only the computer case ordered. I ordered from Lagoom because the shipping from Freemont, CA to my Oregon home is a 2-day trip by the ground method chosen; even if the weekend order was shipped out as late as Tuesday, I'd be easily building my system over the weekend. THEY SHIPPED FROM GEORGIA!!
There's NO way to tell that ground shipping will be 2 days or 7 when placing an order from Lagoom.com. My weekend order will result in a Monday arrival of the NEXT week. Had I known the trip was cross-country, I may have chosen the 3-day shipping. But why pay for 3-day shipping when ground would make it in 2 days? Because packages WILL NOT NECESSARILY be from anywhere NEAR Freemont, CA, yet the website has NO INDICATION that packages are shipped from around the country.
Severe disappointment in this store especially after having seen the decent ratings on this site. Silly me, I expect a company to be up-front about distributed warehousing or have some way to know the true shipping situation before the order is shipped.
Do I expect too much?
