Delay in Telephone connection & uninformed extra charges
To whom soever it may concern,
This is T.S.Gowthaman(Cust no 09300430599, Tel # 25028794), I applied for a BSNL landline connection as on 02/01/2008.I was the first one to apply at the Ambattur telephone exchange.I was promised a connection within a weeks time but happened was a delay in my connection which was stretched to 2 months.I was promised by the JE as usual.Give us 10 days, 15 days.Nothing happened.Waste of time, Petrol & Energy for a simple telephone connection. Finally the telephone arrived after 2 months like the metro water, I was given a Wireless & not a land line connection.I was not informed of the installation charges also.I knew it when the bill was mailed to me.1500 bucks was the installation charges. Not even the JE informed me.If i was priorly infomed I would have cancelled the connection.I went to the branch office same old story happened, Pay or Connection cut.Poor customer service absolutely pity.I finally paid the bill which i shouldnt as I was cheated by BSNL.Transaction ID BDC188978, Bank Transaction ID MCIT 0804834080, Amount 980 dated 30/04/2008
Connection within a week as promised - nothing happened, Stretched like a Boomer for 2 months
Landline was not given but a Wireless which I did not apply for
Installation charges were never informed
I previously had a Tata indicom.I paid 1000 rs as advance, No installation charge & the handset was installed within a day.what a wonderful customer service.problems & Queries were attended immediately. The reason I wished to go with BSNL is to have a government record thats all.I guess the staffs needs training on customer service & General behaviour.
Please help me out on this issue.Money doesnot matter.I should have been notified intially at the time of application that the connection woukld take 2 months. Not even the JE knows if the connection was available or not. What a Comedy, 23am pullikesi. And the useless promises they make.
I would never go for any Governement telephone connection n not to my friends too.I thought of taking up the broad band the next month.I clearly asked them if it was feasible.Nothing happened.Do something guys!

Phone dead
My Telephone no. 0124-2314034 is problematic (dead) from last 8 days and every day I do book complaint to 1500 call centre number. Every time I get assurance that it will be OK in next day, but nothing has happened and now I am fed up thinking to surrender the connection. I don't know where should I go, who will hear me in BSNL. Same time I have another connection from Airtel, their services are tremendeously good.
