My husband and I just purchased a home and were forced to use landamerica home warranty company for our appliance warranty. We have had nothing but bad experiences with this company. Our cook top and oven went out back to back because they were so old. They made us be without any way of cooking (with a child in the home) for over 2 weeks while they still refused to replace it even though it was said by the repair company that it COULD NOT be fixed. Our dishwasher poured water throughout our kitchen where there is now mold as a result of this. They finally after numerous calls by myself had someone come out again. The dishwasher finally worked and then a few weeks later had parts fall off mid cycle and melt filling my house with smoke. The company sent someone out 4 days later and repaired the melted piece. (very unsafe) the dishwasher barely works and now they are charging us 165.00 which is to be paid before they will have someone come out to fix our heater. The heater just went out and we have been without ALL heat for over a week. My 7 year old daughter is now sick because of being too cold. The company said that I am stupid because I dont know how to be a good mom. I have completely had it with this company. They are holding us hostage until we give them money that they did not earn. I know for a fact that the repair guy has not charged them all the money that they are wanting. I have no where else to turn make this company pay for their bad business.
