On 11/15/09 six of us went to Las Fijitas for lunch, at approximately 1:30 PM. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. They sat us at a table for 4 with 2 chairs added on each end.

We ordered our drinks, and when it came time to order our dinners, we asked for separate checks. 1 for each couple, and then 1 for each addition gentlemen. We were told this was not possible, that they could only give 2 separate checks per table. We stated fine, that we will divide the checks at the end, but we will all pay separately. We were told, that they could only accept 2 credit cards per table. We all had credit cards. We requested the assistance of the manager.

The manager repeated the above. When we mentioned that there were all empty tables in the restaurant, and if us sitting at different table would help, he stated "no".

So, what was the real problem here? The restaurant was empty except for another couple. There were plenty of tables. We have never had a problem with separate checks before at any restaurant.

The only problem we could see was we rode up on motorcycles. Is Las Fajitas prejudice against motorcyclist? It sure seems this way.

We stated, give us the bill for our drinks and we will go elsewhere, which they did. We paid the $18.00 bill (not itemized), with our American Express and left.

Your restaurant on North Dixie Highway practically sits in my back yard. I have visited your restaurant numerous times since it has opened, and recommend your restaurant to everyone, including the FAU Community.

Las Fajitas need to update their computer system to accommodate your patrons. I also suggest hiring a manager that gives a damn about customers.
