I created this blog to expose “Lasting Blueprint Media” owned and operated by Leon Bailey 26 of Orlando Florida. My name is CHIEFBEATS.COM and I’m a small business owner and music producer here in Orlando Florida. While shopping around for a Videographer, I came across “Lasting Blueprint’s” craigslist posting. I followed the link in the posting to their youtube channel where I could watch examples of their work.
I contact them by email asking for rates on video production. I was contact back by Leon Bailey and we set a date and time to meet. I invited Leon down to my office on April 18th 2011 at around 5pm.

One of the 1st things I noticed directly was his choice of parking. In the very front of my office, there is ample parking but Leon Bailey chooses to park his vehicle around the corner on the other side of the building. Despite anything to the contrary I invite Leon in and asked him to have a seat.

His behavior as I explained to him what I expected from my groups video shoot was very nonchalant. I then asked him about his experience shooting videos here in Orlando Florida and he said he had plenty. He also added, he doesn’t like to work with “N word” in Orlando because of their lack of professionalism. I could relate to this because I’ve had bad experiences myself and I consider myself to be an established professional. Leon presents his Videographer agreement; I quickly have a look thru it sign and give him a deposit of $150.00 on the video to be shot in 2 days.

The day of the video shoot April 20th 2011 “Leon Bailey” owner of Lasting Blueprint shows up 30mins late, extremely under dress looking more like a substance abuser rather than a video director and again he parked his vehicle very far from the location I rented for the shoot.

After setting up his equipment, I notice he planned to shoot our video with a photographer’s camera rather than a video camera. I thought this was strange but I made no mention of it. During the shoot, I got several complaints from different people about Leon’s attitude, behavior and dress code. I made note of it and plan to speak with him after the shoot.

I scripted and had on paper how I wanted the video to be shot. Leon Bailey didn’t follow my script I prepared so half way thru the shoot, he got confused and I had to revised the script to make it work.

After about 1hr and 20mins of filming Leon said he had enough footage. I asked him to do one more shot and he began to make faces as if he didn’t want to do it. I made sure he did.

By the end of the shoot I could clearly see this guy has some issues. He waits around until I get all pack up and ready to go then asks for the remaining $150 I owed on the video. Inspite of what his agreement read, I said to him I think the fair thing to do is for me to pay you $75 now and $75 when you deliver the video. Immediately he throws a fit saying “I wouldn’t have done the video if I knew this”.

I’m the coolest guy on the planet but once that temper kicks in I get ugly. I also carry a legal weapon and had to take a deep breath before continuing. I thought about it and wrote him a check for the balance $150 for 2 reasons.

1. I didn’t want him to do a crappy job on my video edit

2. I didn’t want to give him any reason to hold onto my deposit.

I explained to him that if he plans to be successful in this business, he needs to improve his customer skills. He said “I’ll have the video in 1 week”

Sure enough, Today date is May 4, 2011 and I’ve not heard from or received a video from “LASTING BLUEPRINT”. When I call the number listed on the business card from my cell phone it say’s the number has been disconnected but when I dial from another number it rings thru voicemail.

This “Lasting Blueprint Company” is not listed with sunbiz.org and has no physical location.

Looking back at the entire episode, I can say with absolute certainty then Leon Bailey is a con artist and has done this scam before. Do not do any business with him
