Room booking failed to be put thorough. I only discovered this when I mentioned to a friend to book the same hotel and he discovered they had no record of my booking.
Laterooms.com advertise rate parity also for all their hotels. I am being charged 10 GBP more by booking through them than the rate advertised on the hotel site.
I had to call the hotel myself and find out about the booking - which they had no confirmation of from laterrooms.com. when I called late rooms they told me that they had processes and it was the hotels fault and at least I now have a room booked. they took no account of my additional efforts to chase down my own booking and had my friend not discovered this the chances are the room would have been double booked and I would not have had a room to stay in on arrival. their customer serivces team told me they would call me back which they did not and they also hung up on me when asked why they felt this service was acceptable. the emails from their feedback and complaints were self justifying, absolving themselves of all blame with no recognition of their customers needs or situation. A deeply poor and unsatifying experience. I would not recommend them to anyone. you cant be sure your booking will actually work and that if it doesnt that they would actually care anyway!
