Big fat SCAM
Even though I thought I was being careful when signing up for this site I still got screwed. Unchecked boxes I didn't want, read fine print, you name it, and still got the shaft. Was told I was I'd be getting "exclusive access" to files but in reality all they did was direct me to a fake login page, viruses, spyware and, at best, the same files I could easily get through any torrent app or decent website! For these "services, " they charged me for much more than I authorized, and when I tried to contact them about getting a refund (or even an explanation) they just ignored me. At that point, I decided I'd take matters into my own hands...

I contacted my bank and they explained to me how I can get my $$$ back: CHARGEBACK. If you don't know what this is, take a look here: What Is A Chargeback? - The Consumerist They explain it very well: "Basically, you do a chargeback when you feel like you're not getting what you paid for, in terms of the quality or type of good or service." Sound familiar?

After that, you contact your credit card company and start the process and give a reason. One of the most common ones is "Services not rendered." If the merchant/scammer cannot prove that you received what you paid for, they get screwed. NO MATTER WHAT, you have nothing to lose: a) they are either found guilty, in which case you get all your money back, they get hit with a penalty and - if enough people do this - are forced to shut down, or b) you fought the good fight and didn't lose anything. Likely, you'll win. The more suspicious and worse the website, the better your chances.

I'm sick and tired of this kind of crap happening to me and everyone else out there. These bastards make a fat living screwing innocent people like you and I on a daily basis and it's time we put an end to it! Please don't idly sit by because "it was only $20" or something to that extent. There is ways to tip the scales back in our favor and this is one of the best ways to do it!

Fraud website
I found that you will be redirected to latestdownloads.net when Torrentz does not find what you are looking for. CHECK THIS OUT...You could type anything like kdkdkdkdkd and it will create a latestdownloads.net result search offering kdkdkdkdkd.iso, kdkdkdkdkd.rar, kdkdkdkdkd dvd rip (2008) etc., with the intent to make you think they have the file needed and trap you with their fraudulant site. My advice STAY AWAY. They are a scam. There is also no address of where the company is located. After researching some more I found that apparently it is a Russia, company It seems that many file scam sites are run by an organized crime group operating out of Russia, which owns around 600 different sites: music/file download services, spy-ware scams (they infect your computer first, then get you to pay for cleanup), adult services, satellite TV fraud, and pay-per-view fraud. All have a similar theme: professional-looking and well designed to entice you, they promise everything you want, at an unbelievable price, blah blah blah and then fail to deliver any service upon sign-up. Either way it's a massive rip off. on sites such as Rapidshare and torrent sites. There are hundreds of these on the internet that provide the same service for free. This site, like many others of the same nature, is just a SCAM intended to get you to hand over your credit card details so they can charge you whatever they like. Do NOT be fooled - they don't actually have any content! There I explain how these scams work, what to watch out for, and how to get your money back if you already have been a victim.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
On October 18, 2009 I purchased membership for latestdownloads.net.
I received an email with username and password that DID NOT gave acces to the intended site.
The link redirected me to a "memberservices.org" site that only offer downloads for products that you can find for free everywhere like limewire and 360.
After I complained and wrote three emails I received an email offering to cancel the membership but charging me a non negotiable 9.95 for processing and handling.
WHAT A RIP-OFF !!

user name & password given will not allow me access
I signed up with latest downloads.net to gain access to their website for downloading programs etc. this transaction was completed onm the 16 April 2009 and received a receipt for the purchase, #166265090415200405347, as attached below. with that receipt i was asigned a user name and password, which in the end means diddly squat. as I am not recognised as a member with Latestdownloads.net . with that I am not able to gain accesss to their site.
As you are mentioned in the receipt as being the acceptor of the Credit Card payments, I am requesting from you to have the matter rectified, better still have latestdownloads.net make contact with me so that the matter can be sorted.

should that not be possible i would then request my funds to be returned.

My email address is [email protected] below the receipt.

This is an automatic email. Please do not reply as this mailbox is not monitored.
