I was recently contacted by this law firm about a credit card. The initial card was worth 1500. They were asking for $2, 600 - paid immediately! I am 8 months pregnant. I told Tony Brewer that I would like to make arrangements for payments. He said that was unacceptable. They needed payment now, and if they didn't receive payment, they were going to send me to jail. I told him that I was going to speak with family members and see what I could come up with. I also asked for a letter. They assured me that it was in the mail. During the week that I waited for the letter, Tony Brewer called my 84 year old grandmother and family members. I have no idea how they got those numbers, but they harassed them daily!!!
When I received the letter, I called and asked for verification. He said that he wasn't giving me anything and that I should get the money from my "baby daddy". This man was so unprofessional and rude. He hung up on me several times and when I called back, he declared, "Is this you, again?"
My sister got on the phone because again, I am 8 months pregnant, he told her that she was a snotty nosed kid and that she needs to get her momma to pay her bills! What a jerk! My sister is a grad / law student.
If these people contact you, please seek an attorney! I have never been treated so rudely. Do not give them your credit card nor debit card information!!! Ever!!!
After searching this company, I have found rip off reports, and reports from the complaint board. This company has had a class action lawsuit filed against them, as well.
When I asked to speak to someone else, he said that no one else would ever speak to me!
I had to think to myself. Hmmm.. And you call this a law office???
Beware and know your rights, as a consumer... When a collection agent hangs up in your face and speaks rudely to you and your family, ask yourself if this is a valid company. Oftentimes, it is not.
