The attorney James G. Schmier (Birmingham, Michigan). on 04/14/2011 submitted to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission (File No. 0589-11) a Bogus Retainer Fee Agreement. According to Schmier, he forwarded . . . . (2) copies of his retainer fee agreement with a stamped return envelope but never received a signed copy. Laugh. Go ahead and laugh. Laugh, laugh, laugh. Conversation of a retainer fee agreement NEVER surfaced. The client NEVER received (2) copies of a retainer fee agreement and or a stamped return envelope but he the attorney begun and continued litigation. Laugh. Go ahead and laugh. Laugh, laugh, laugh. If you are in need of an attorney, you do not need James G. Schmier. There are an abundance of good/high quality lawyers in Southeast Michigan. James G. Schmier (Birmingham, Michigan) is not one of them.

Retainer Fee Agreement
He, attorney James G. Schmier (P70825) on 04/14/ 2011 responded to complaint (Michigan Attorney Grievance Commision/File No. 0589-11). He, Schmier submitted to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commision a retainer fee agreement signed by himself only. Acoording to Schmier, he sent. . . . (2) copies of a retainer agreement and a stamped envelope; the retainer agreement was never returned". Laugh. go ahead and laugh. Laugh, laugh, laugh. This individual/ex-client NEVER signed a retainer fee agreement as a retainer fee agreement with return envelope was NEVER forwarded/received. This explains why the retainer fee agreement is signed only by James G. Schmier. He agreed/begun litigation without client signing a retainer fee ageement. Laugh. Go ahead and laugh. Laugh, laugh, laugh.

He Schmier responded to complaint (Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission/File No. 0589-11). "I admit I did fail to attend hearing. . . . Although I was informed of the date of this hearing, I made a mistake in entering it in my calendar. The hearing was scheduled September 30, 2009, I mistakenly entered it in my computer calendar for October 30, 2009, the date of the deposition". According to him, Schmier he was to attend hearing and a deposition, same day October 30, 2009. Laugh. Oh! Oh My God!!! Go ahead and laugh. Laugh, laugh, laugh.

Inconsistent and Conflicting
He is inconsistent and conflicting, Attorney James G. Schmier. First he said, $300.00 or $400.00 of the $1700.00 retainer was used. Then he said all was used. The $1700.00 retainer was totally exhausted but submitted a statement of accounting showing all was used of the $1700.00 retainer, excluding $240.00. He (Schmier) said three different things. All are inconsistent and conflicting.
First, he said the opposing party attorney prepared the document. Then he said the opposing party accounting prepared the document. Here, he (Schmier) says two different things. Both are inconsistent and conflicting.

According to his advertisement, www.schmierlaw.com he, James G. Schmier (P70825) is an experienced and agressive lawyer. While representing Case No. GC 09 1653 in the Michigan 46th District Court, those attributes were not exposed. Nine months after accepting legal representation and $1700.00 he said "this case is hard" and petitioned the court to withdraw. The truth is he was negligent and did not know what he was doing. I thought he (Schmier) was associated with the Law Office of Jack Jaffee (Madison Hts, Michigan) and later discovered he was not. I thought he was a skilled lawyer but later he did not know what he was doing. He did not respond to counter claim motion and didn't appear for hearing. He did not submit interrogatories or a witness list. He seemingly did not know what to do. That's quite obvious. He said "this case is hard".
