I feel raped! Thanks to Kevin Richards and his lynch mob at Checknet. Due to a house foreclosuring because the owner pocketed our money, we were given only a week to move out. We made payments to the past due electric bill but they turned us over to Checknet owing $500.

I called to make payment arrangements. All or nothing! I asked to speak to her supervisor who informed me I had 3 hours to come up with the now $750 (my call cost me $250) or he was sending it to an Atty and it would go up to $900. (remember I am the one who called) He spoke as if it was a joke, his voice was loud and cruel suggesting that I pawn my wedding ring.

A week later I was served a phony court summons with no notary, no case date, so I called again to make arrangements with the Atty hoping to get somewhere. The paralegal was the exact same person that spoke to me the first time, now informed me I owed $1100 because it went to an Atty (who is located in the same office). It cost me $250 to walk across the hall...and they are charging me an additonal $100 recieve the payment because she has to "register it with the court". THERE IS NO COURT CASE YET.

How did $500 become $1100 in less than 30 days? Is this legal? Mr Richards...Human with NO humanity. Dude how do you sleep at night.
