I was an employee for several days in early January 2011.
I soon found out that this firm was either being sanctioned for their activities and or was about due in Court for sanctions as they have had numerous complaints concerning misleading consumers who are seeking relief from foreclosure, and or other debt matters. When I was there, two female emplyees were let go, and the one gal who started after me, was let go because she got into a disagreemnt with management concerning "all the issues that are not right at the law firm". I was mislead/lied too about my compensation package, and when I requested it in writing...after several days, the owner Alex retracted his offer that we shook hands on three days prior.
I was instructed as a case manager, to not "worry about sending people a items needed list" I had made an appointment with for bankruptcy consultations as he did not want them "seeing us on the internet" and all that counted was getting them "in with a check" During my short time there, I reffered a friend on mine to the firm who has a workmens compensation matter. Alex wanted to puruse the matter for him. Fortunately, one of the gals there Francine, indicated to me that Alex was "wrong to try and concurrently pursue a personal injury case (which apparently are far more lucrative for the firm) even though I was advised that doing so was wrong and 100% unethical. There are many law firms out there who I am sure are looking out for theri clients best interest, unfortunately this firm is NOT one of them, the word ethics and compliance with law as set forth within the legaol community mean nothing to these people.
