Purchased discountedTimeslips 2005 for $289 in March 2008, at my boss's request, using my own credit card to facilitate the purchase. When my boss, whom I discovered to be a callous cheat, hadn't reimbursed me I returned the package - within the 30 days, software unopened, mailing package undisturbed, except for removing invoice at top of package.
Charge to return it: 15% = $43!!! (plus postage!)
I do not expect to pay any fee to return a product, unopened, within 30 days of receipt of the merchandise and would never have ordered from any company with that policy clearly posted. I would especially expect, given my personal circumstances as explained to their manager (unemployed, unreimbursed by my boss for a credit card purchase) to have the fee waived.
Restocking fee? $43 on a $289 purchase? How about the normal cost of doing business? A retail store, with all the associated overhead, would never remain in business with such a policy.
Compu Financial! Reimburse to my credit card my much needed $43!!
