order
purchased a LazBoy sofa and 2 chairs on 5-28-09 and I have not received them yet. I love lazboy as a company and I love ther product. All of the furniture I have is from Lazboy and it has always been the best of quality and service. This time around my order has taken much longer than expected but I have been informed that they have been taken over by a company called SPCI.


I have also been told that the previous owners were franchised from Lazboy corp. and that they are the ones at fault for my order taking so long. I was told that this new company is here to clean up the mess that they left behind and that they are honoring all of the orders left from the old owners. I am confident that I will receive my furniture and I will love it when I do get it. I understand that things happen and as long as they are willing to get me my furniture I am willing to wait a little while longer. I once worked for a company that had this happen to them and it was very difficult for all involved to handle and having had that experience helps me see that it is not the sales persons fault or this new companies fault. I have read some other reviews and they all put down the sales person but really they do just work for the company to feed there families and they have faith I am sure in this new company!!! So for the time being I will too.

DEFECTIVE FURNITURE
I PURCHASED A SECTIONAL SLEEPER SOFA AND END TABLES, I HAD PROBLEMS FROM THE START, THE STICTHING ON THE FRONT IS BAD, AFTER A WEEK THE CUSHOINS ARE SHIFTING OUT OF SHAPE, THE ARM ON THE END IS LOOSE.YOU CAN NOT TURN OR CHANGE THE POSTION OF THE PILLOWS AND THEY ARE LOOKING REALLY BAD AFTER JUST A WEEK I DID CALL, RIGHT AWAY I WAS TOLD THEY WERE TO BUSY AT THAT TIME TO COME OUT AND TAKE CARE OF IT.THEY MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND DID NOT KEEP IT, I EMAILED THEY CALLED MADE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT THEY CAME OUT MADE PICTURES TURNED THE SOFA UPSIDE DOWN, LONG STORY SHORT I WAS CALLED THIS MORNING AND TOLD THAT I HAVE TO KEEP THIS POORLY MADE FURNITURE.I HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS, AND I DO NOT PLAN TO I TOLD THE MANAGER TO PICK UP THE FURNITURE.I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO UNHAPPY WITH A COMPANY.THANK YOU CAROLE LOWELL, [email protected], 770-719-4860

Fraud and cheating
I have two leather sofas - one started to lose its color on one of the arms and the seat of one cushion within 3 months. We had it replaced after being told that this situation was very unusual. They also came out, looked at it, and pronounced that yes, it would be covered under the warranty. We felt fortunate that since we did not buy the extended warranty, that the 'problem' had been taken care of in time. Nope. One month after the warranty expires, the furniture starts to lose color on the back, the arms, the seats; and they will not do a thing. $75 just to look at one piece of furniture. Totally disappointed since I had always thought Lazy Boy would stand behind their work. I should have checked for complaints first. Beware buyers.

Terrible experience
We purchased a sectional sofa from this store on 9/4/06 and it was delivered on 11/13/06. We were told all of the area's that touched the body were made of leather. In about Feb. of 2008 I noticed that the arm of the recliner at the front was cracking. I called the salesman Ron Socher and told him the problem, he put me in contact with the Stainsafe Protection Co. They sent out a claim person on March 19, 08. He looked at the couch and said he would have to order parts and it could take up to 2 months to get it fixed. As of today we haven't heard one thing from them so I finally called and was informed that they would not be doing anything to fix the sofa because the the claim adjuster stated that the vinyl was dry and cracking from normal wear and tear. The area that is cracking wasn't suppose to be vinyl it was suppose to be genuine leather. As you can imagine I did not receive any satisfaction from them. I have called the salesman and he is going to try to help us fight them, but I don't really hold out much hope of it being fixed to our satisfaction. I am so tired of business people just ignoring their responsibility to the buying public once they have their money.

Nail or tack sticking out of armrest!
Purchased a reclining chair on October 3, 2007. Shortly thereafter noticed that a tack or nail was about to punch hole through arm rest. Called the store in November with no success. Emailed corporate office with no success. Left message for store manager with no success. Spoke to their customer service who promised follow-up with no success. Called the store today, January 12 and advised them to come and pick up their chair... You can guess what they told me. They told me that the service technician would call today... heard that before. Bottom line is do not ever buy anything from this fly by night organization!

I should have checked out the complaint blogs. Had I done my homework I would not be in this situation.
