Bought a 37" LG LCD TV from Conn's on Valentines day...after 12 days noticed a defect with the screen that the industry calls MURA(a darken shadow effect that will appear as a horizontal bar). I return the unit to the store in NW Austin to find out that I am past the 10 day exchange policy...I was outside the exchange window by two days. The store manager tried to work with me but was not empowered by his organization to make a decision and provide me a new television. I was told that I would have to send my unit to the repair facility in San Antonio(outsourced). I send the TV and after two weeks I was contacted that the tech could not replicate the problem. Because I have industry experience with LCD repair I asked the Tech to run a series of solid color screen tests and he will notice the MURA effect either with a royal blue screen and/or gray...sure enough he did. He then indicated to me that he would have to order a new LCD panel since they do not have it in stock...this was at the beginning of March. Called the service center today to get status and they indicated that they are still waiting for the parts... I spent $700 on a television that I have been able to use for 11 days out of the past 60 days.

Conn's could avoid this if they allowed the store manager to do what is best for the customer and exchange the unit. Now they have destroyed any credibility that I had with Conn's and one pissed off customer who loves to tell everyone about my horrific experience...I Twitter each day how people should not buy from Conn's...I hit every social networking page to do the same. I have tried numerous times to contact customer service via phone and e-mail and no response...none...never wrote me back...

I love they claim Award Winning Service...nothing like giving themselves their own title...

Conn's is horrible and they should go back to selling plumbing supplies...
