I ordered a free trial but was unaware that I was signing up to a monthly subscription if I did not cancel the trial within 10 days. The company debited my account for $87 10 calendar days (not working days) after I requested the trial sample. As it had to come from the US to the UK (presumably as the office address is in Florida and the payment was in US$) and presumably did not get shipped until at least the next working day (but I never got a confirmation email that anything was going to be shipped), there was a fair chance that I would not get the trial sample in time before my 10 days was up. The product was not what I expected – it contained lots of additives in addition to Acai and I was not happy with the extra ingredients that included caffeine and phenylepinephidrine. I took one dose and felt quite strange and ill the rest of the day. Needless to say I did not read the small print well enough and did not realise that I had signed up to a monthly subscription. It wasn’t until my bank called to query the transaction of $87 that I cancelled my card and asked them to investigate. They sent me a letter almost 2 weeks later to the effect that I needed to cancel my monthly subscription that I then started to research online further. It turns out that there are many complaints launched against LeanBodyBurn, Maximum burn xtreme, ColoPur colon cleansing products, its hard to know what to call it or the company, as the website that I ordered from doesn’t seem to exist anymore, what does it exist is several with slightly different named versions of the same product on slightly different websites. The customer number 1-888-654-0959 worked and I was directed how to cancel my subscription online. Had to ring again as the form appeared to be for US - it worked for my UK address as long as I put no spaces, all lower case and took the country code of the telephone number.

Unfortunately, the company (under which the lady told me there were many different companies) assured me that as I had received the product and had not cancelled within the 10 day period, that I was not eligible for a refund. I am still taking up with my bank so we shall see.
