Awful everything
Purchased a new Campagnolo Record seatpost at Lee's bike shop. After several rides seat would not stay level, would creep back. Returned seat post to store. Splines on seatpost stripped. Damaged splines were due to poor design not to incorrect mounting as the rep was telling them. It's not rocket science to install.
I have had several bikes and never had this problem.They would not exchange but said they had to send it back to Campagnolo. In the meantime I purchased another seatpost from same shop. Seatpost sent back to Campagnolo for warranty. Rep wold not make good on seatpost. Seatpost sent back and then sent to another bike supply company where they would not make good on it either.
After 2 months of waiting for a new seatpost, old seatpost sent back to shop . I asked for at least store credit since I already bought a replacement from same store. Adam the owner said, that it was out of his hands since Campagnolo would not honor warranty. In other words, you are on your own.
Every item that you purchase from a store has a warranty whether it's implied or not. It was up to him as acting agent from the company to make good on the seatpost. I recently spent over $1200 on 2 bikes buying products and services for them from the same store. Adam should of made good on seatpost since it was returned in a reasonable amount of time.
Adam does not stand behind his products and does not treat long time customers as they deserve. He completly lost my future business over $125.00 that he would of made back if he refunded my original purchase price. Bad business sense on his part.
