I received the wrong order, called, asked for a replacement, though I was going to eat what I was given. (McDonald's, KFC, even Domino's have done this). I was told that Lee's didn't do that. I asked to speak with the manager, Ms. Jamie, who repeated what the employee had said (who was very polite and cordial and my reason for my friendliness /quality rating).
Ms. Jamie, however, was not as nice as the employee. I must have questioned her about it too many times. She told me she was following policy, I could call and talk to the owner tomorrow and she hung up. I was asking her what the owner's name was but she didn't hear that because she was slamming down the phone. She wouldn't even tell me her name. I called back to get that and when I asked for the owner's name, I was told "Mrs" and then "hold on a minute". After 5 minutes I hung up and decided to write in to you.
I don't care about the chicken. I am in the hospitality industry, I've been a manager on the "front line" and would never have responded the way Ms. Jamie did. That was unprofessional and she just lost a customer. And I wasn't a casual customer. I go/went to Lee's for all the parties that I have and I have them all the time and I talk Lee's up all the time. No more. Seems like Manager's would care even more now that there are sites like this, Twitter and Facebook.
