Overcharged for a call at a pay phone
I was in the Union Station downtown Los Angeles using a pay phone. None of the phones work so I dialed the operator for assistants. I didn't have anymore change because I lost it all trying to make a phone call.
The operator which was a man ask if I had a calling card or credit card that I would like to bill the call to so I gave him my credit card number. The calls never went through because the numbers I was calling had collect call blocks on them. I made two calls and when I got ready to give him another number he hung up in my face.
He never mentioned a charge for anything. He never said that he was charging me for a call. He ask me would I like to charge the phone call to my credit card. I didn't even talk to anyone.
I want my money back and I will be calling the Better Business Bureau on this company.

Overcharge
I had locked myself out and needed to contact someone to let me in. I used a payphone nearby. I was shocked to find out that I had been charged for 4 calls @ $ 29.57. $ 119.88 for two, one minute phone calls and one three minute phone call. Three days later I was really shocked when I found that I had been charged for three more calls @ $29.57 each. I immediately e-mailed the company to inform them of the mistake. The next day I received a message that was very upsetting. It appeared that they were actually going to charge me $ 209.79 for the two, one minute phone calls!
The following day I called and spoke to a lady who was very rude. She tried to explain the company’s fees and charges. I explained that there were no posted fees except the coin cost of $ .50 for a local call and $ 1.00 for long distance. She told me that the fees were explained in the options. I explained that I did not hear that option. She said that I “should have listened through ALL of the options” before making my phone call. I tried to help her understand that during an emergency, time is something you do not have. I asked her who she thought would actually have the time to listen to several options during an emergency prior to making a phone call. She had no response. She finally told me to write a letter. It has been over two months now and no response.
