Legal Authority is a company that provides targeted mass mail to potential employers in the legal field. I used their service, and I was thoroughly disappointed. Cover letters and resume contain several errors. They take forever to revise my cover letters. So you need to hassle them to correct even one sentence. That's not my main concern. I got a bill from them after 6 months of silence saying that I owe them over $1400. I purchased their service for $1200 and paid half according to their financing plan. I never owed more than $1400. I called the customer service, and she opened my record and said that I owe more than $1400 and other erroneous things. She was not apologetic at all for the mistake. She was indignant. So now I'm digging up all the records from January to send them a letter of complaint to them. It just makes me angry that they thought they can trick me into paying more than $1400.
I heard this is useless as well, because they just ignore you and if you call them they will repeat the same answer over and over again. So I'm planning to call them demand all the evidence/documents that they have to charge me with more than $1400.
This was my worst consumer -experience. Basically, you're going to pay for all your time and headache by incompetent people who edit your cover letters and resumes and moreover, by fraudulent billing system.
