LIARS AND RIPP OFFS
DO NOT HIRE LEGAL HELPERS!!! THEY HAVE MADE OUR LIVES A RUIN. FIRST KAREN GATTO, GAVE US ERRONEOUS INFORMATION ABOUT OUR CASE. SHE THEN ADMITTED IN LETTER AND IN PERSON THAT THIS WAS HER MISTAKE. THEY REFUNDED OUR MONEY IN FULL, BUT WERE UNABLE TO GET THE BANKRUPTCY DISMISSED, PUTTING US IN DIRE STRAIGHTS AND FINANCIALLY RUINED, THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR YEARS NOW AND THE TRUSTEE AND HER ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO RIP OFF AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE. HEED THIS WARNING AND FIND AN HONEST COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF OBTAINING A LAWYER TO SUE LEGAL HELPERS FOR THE LIABILITY THEY HOLD FOR RUINING OUR LIVES.

Bankruptcy Nightmares
We hired Legal Helpers to do our bankruptcy and got an attorney named Mona G. We would get her all our paperwork and wouldn't hear from her for over a month and when we did our paperwork needed to be current and I would send it again and again and again...We did this for over 9 months! We even had to take the pre counseling class twice because Mona didn't do anything in a timely manner and the first one took expired after 6 months! We had to fight to get a waiver for the 2ND class as they wanted us to pay for it again! They kept telling me things were missing, not current blah blah blah! After complaining to Chicago, the manager of the Seattle office took over our case and guess what- we were in court with in 2 weeks! We were being sued by 3 of the creditors, threatened for wage garnishments and judgements on our records on top of the bankruptcy because Mona couldn't pull her head out of her #@$! THE WHOLE PROCESS WAS A NIGHTMARE! No one has ever heard of bankruptcy taking more than a year!! Legal helpers was great when we had the right attorney. Tread Carefully

Poor Service
Richard Suh made us lose everything. Our car and house. He refused to sign a refermation papers even though we have made all of our house and car. All we wanted was are credit cards we couldn't keep up and pay. We have no idea what he looks like because he did't show up at court. We were told by one of the other lawyer that we would't lose our house or car. He also, refused to talk with us. He always had us talk to the legal aid and always put us off, very patrinizing. My husband and I are both handycapped and this is a hardship for us. We were going to try for a loan modification but the bank won't do anything unless the lawyer signs the reaffirm papers. We are trying to make an appointment to see the judge but we don't know how to do that.We feel we were misrepresented by this lawyer and the company he works for. They took our money and ran. My lawyer lied about helping just to get my money
I had to file bankrupted chapter 13 because I made too much money to file chapter 7. My paycheck was being garnished $400 every two weeks. I paid Macey & Allman $2500 up front because they said it would only cost me $200-$250 every two weeks. Once the case was filed the bankrupsey Trustee is garnishing my check $600 every two weeks. My bills are not getting paid. My house is in foreclosure. Any day now I expect to be put out on the street. My lawyer now says it wasn’t a feasible case to take. The way they present themselves is fraud. I am contacting the Attorney Generals office.

Stay far away from this company
On 12/1/2009 I faxed a letter to Legal Helpers notifying them that I wished to terminate their services. I am still waiting on getting refund of my money.
I hired this firm to help me file Chapter 7. I was told that I qualified but that I was borderline. I supplied back to my attorney mistakes I had found in the paper work they entered. The mistakes were in my favor and I made my final payment and supplied my certified check for court filing on 10/31/09. A couple of week's later I was told that the updates were still being done but that my county had just changed the MEANS test score effective November 2009 and I no longer qualified for Chapter 7. They tried to pressure me in filing Chapter 13. I did not wish to do this and decided to terminate our agreement.
Legal Helpers is refusing to refund my money. They say it is because they have the right to charge me for their time and costs which has been inflated. I say they should have known about the pending change to the MEANS test score and that they purposefully mislead me. I will not agree to pay for their poor data entry, their incompetence, their dropped phone calls, etc.
Stay far away from this company!

REFUSE TO REFUND AS PROMISED
I am filing a complaint against LEGALHELPERS on behalf of my boyfriend who cannot read or write, he is disable.
He was rushed by LEGALHELPERS into signing up with them telling him that their fees are low and that in fact they are the lowest fees, when in fact it is a lie.
He is on SSI disability income. On August 13, 2009 he had signed up for their bankruptcy service and the next day I had called them and told them that I will be cancelling their service because I had found out that there is another attorney I could hired for less and at that time I was promised that I would get back $500.00 back and they will keep a $100.00 for their fees. My boyfriend had given them $600.00 down payment in cash.
My new attorney had faxed over the cancellation letter on 08/19/09 to cancel the service.
The next day 08/20/09 I had called LEGALHELPERS for confirmation of the cancellation letter and was confirmed that they had received the cancellation letter and I was told that they will refund $500.00 back to me.
Then on 08/25/09 I had received a call from LEGALHELPER, a person by the of name KERRY left a message to call her.
I had called her the following morning 08/26/09 at 7:30 and spoke to KERRY and she says that they cannot give us back the $500.00 only a little of money to be given back to us. She says they are charging attorney’s fees of $250.00 and I says that they did not do anything and I was promised $500.00 back, KERRY ‘s says that nobody in their office had promised me back $500.00.
I told her then that I will be filing a complaint with BBB.
Also should I file a complaint with the State Bar of California association?
Please let them know that I am demanding $500.00 refund.

Return of retainer
I contracted with Legal helpers over 2 years ago, I was told that before any thing would be done on my case I would have to pay in full $1300. I have since paid that amount, and then would not get any return phone calls. I have made several calls to find out the status of my account.
I then decided to fire them and get my retainer back so that I could have someone else file for me. I was told that I had to send a letter in writing advising that i was no longer using there services and that at that time they would do an account recap to see how much of my money would be returned. Which is funny in it self because they haven't done anything.
They are in the business of taking advantage of people when they are in financial hardships.

not working ofr me, lied.
Filed chapter 13 last fall, lost my job can not do much to help me, what about working with you to adjust this go to a chapter 7 don't let them take my house.
Said I would never have to worry about this and hear I am over 50 and no help. Ther answer is to dismiss this that is no help our origional attorney James will not even talk to me.. Take your money and do nothing.
