This little hole in the wall company is a complete joke and scam. We were trying to serve papers to my fiance's ex-husband and had a deadline of January 12 to do so. We went to them the same day we received the court date so they had a full week to do this. The two women at VLM said they would have no problem meeting that deadline and would contact us with updates as to their progress. They never called us and we had to call them repeatedly on the 12th to see what the status was. They did not serve him. We got a call from the messenger that said she would be meeting the ex-husband the day after the deadline to deliver the "package". Turns out she was calling about an entirely different case. Then we got a call from one of the principles of VLM apologizing for the mix-up. She aplogized that they were not successful and said we could come over the next day (the 13th) and get a refund and go with them to the court-house where they promised to aid with the refiling of our paperwork to get a new court date. They said to meet them at the office at 10AM when they were going to go to the court. We got there at 9:30 the next morning and they handed us our documents with the Return of Service already done and said we could not get a refund. These women will tell you anything to get your money. GET IT IN WRITING!!! They constantly go back on their word and say things like ..."Some people are hard to serve". That's not what they said when they took our money. Do yourself a favor and use the Sheriff for this kind of thing. We're out $55 and have to spend money and time refiling all the paperwork.
