I recently bought tickets to two ballet performances. The first one started half an hour late, but even so, there was constant interruption throughout the overture and first act as latecomers were brought in one at a time and seated - not a few, but literally dozens of people. Obviously they were selling tickets well beyond the curtain raise. The director promised the audience it wouldn't happen again, but, at the second concert, yes it did! Half an hour after the second performance began, I left and requested a return of ticket money, which they verbally promised to send me but never did. I should have realized because I was also told that this happens at the Metropolitan Opera (it does not - one minute late and you go to the video room) and that TDF, through which I'd bought the ticket, would refund my money. They say in every piece of literature they send you that they do not do refunds. It was a relatively small amount of money, though not so much when you consider the trip from New Jersey and the wasted afternoon. Never again.
