I tried refinancing with Lend America back in June. The first guy I dealt with said everything looked good, not to make my August payment on my current mortgage and not to pay my taxes, that we would be closing during the month of August. After a couple of weeks of him not returning my phone calls or emails, I contacted someone else at Lend America, who informed me that they let the guy go. They had me talk to someone else, which informed me that I had to start all over again because they couldn't go into the first guys files and retrieve any information. The second guy also informed me that everything looks great and ordered the appraisal. All the while, both the appraisal company and Lend America knew I had a manufactured home and acreage, and kept informing me that everything was looking great. I was contacted by the appraisal company (Global Appraisal Solutions), who charged me $475 to set up an appraisal with an appraisal company in my area. The appraiser didn't do there job and told Lend America that the house was not on a permanent foundation. It is on a five block high foundation. I was told by Lend America and the appraisal service that I would get a refund on my money being that the person they sent out didn't do there job accurately and that they couldn't go through with the loan because of the acreage and it being a manufactured home. That was at the end of Sept., I am still waiting. I contacted the BBB today and made a complaint about the appraisal service, my next one will be about Lend America. Please don't get caught up in the same mess we did. As far as I am concerned, they are just scamming money from people. They mislead me in believing they were going to pay my taxes and insurance, making my taxes deliquent. Promised me all these things and misled me to believe that the mortgage was good, and his supervisor was on him to close the deal. Currently going on about 120 days, as of today, and still nothing.
