I waited half of the first day and most of the second waiting for a tech
I scheduled service with Leslie's pool to replace the pool pump 3 times in as many years. The tech arrived as agreed but immediately said that he needs parts and would try to return that day or would return first thing the next morning. I waited at my home until 2:30pm before calling the dispatcher who said there were scheduling problems and he it would be closer to the end of the day. The next appointment would be in 4 days.

So I waited half of the first day and most of the second waiting for a tech that never came. When I asked if another appointment could be bumped tomorrow to fit in my bumped appointment, the dispatcher said no.

This is of course one example of several where Leslies has given me bad advice on pool care, sold me products I didn't need, and didn't fulfil their commitments. I am not sure how they became as large as they did with the poor customer service they provide.

This is the last time that I will ever buy anything at leslies
I purchased a new hayward de filter on 6-16-09. I just found out that the filter had a broken pipe inside and water was bypassing the filter. I took the filter back to leslies pool supplies located on germantown pk just outside of plymouth meeting pa. I wanted either a new filter or my money refunded. The store manager refused and stated that he would have to send away for parts and repair it. Im having a family bar b q on saturday, The manager stated that its not his fault that saturdays a holiday. This is the last time that I will ever buy anything at leslies. The filter is 2 weeks old, never worked right and in effect I was told " too bad".

I will never go there again
I guess I should have read these reviews before I ever gave them a call. My pump was/is turning its self off after it runs for about 10-15 minutes. the tech showed up while I was at work and my son was home. I told my son what the concern was and he in turn told the tech. I started to make my way home and about 15 minutes later my son called me back and told me the tech said that everything was ok. i asked to speak with the tech and he told me the same, that he got the pump running and that everything was working ok. I tried to explain to hi m 2x that if he just lets it run for a few more minutes it will turn itself off. he then told me that he had it running for a few minutes and it was fine. I then told him to leave my house and that I was not going to pay for his service since he did nothing at all other than turn the pump on. I called their service and got a rep who asked what I wanted her to do, i said let me speak to a manager. I then got transfered to a dispatcher. he told me that he could not transfer me to a manager but in turn got my phone number and said a manager would call me back...that was early last week and no call. I will never go there again period.

Do not use them
Don't use Leslie's Pool Techs!! I made an appointment. Was told that he would be at my house sometime between 12 and 5, and he NEVER showed up. When I called at 5:30, I was told that he did come and I wasn't home. I have 4 dogs. There is no way he could have even come on my property without me knowing about it, not to mention that I spent the afternoon watching out for him from my livingroom windows. I didn't get any support or empathy from the service dept. and when I wanted to speak to a manager, I was given to a dispatcher. I asked for a manager, and was sent to his voice mail. P.S. I still have not heard from him!

Awful company
I recently purchased an above ground pool from Leslies. They sub-contracted another company to me to have the pool installed, as they do not install them. That company, J & T Pool Assembly, came 4 hours late. They did answer my phone calls to lie to me and tell me that they would be at my home in 30 minutes. When they finally arrived I had to pay them in full, and in cash before they would start. If they would have come on time they wouldn't have had to work in the pitch dark with a light that I provided. Well, the next morning i noticed that all the finishing touches, the cosmetics that make the pool look nice, were not done. Also, they forgot to put a clamp on my filter and it ran all night without water running through it. I lost about a foot of water from the pool and my backyard was a little flooded. I also don't know for sure if the filter had been harmed during that time. J & T told me they would be at my house within the hour to fix the problems. I'm still waiting. That was 13 days ago. My husband has since had many arguments with them. I told leslies about the problem with J & T. Pool Assembly. They can't help me. I also told them on day 2 that my pool was leaking quite a bit. They told me I needed an O ring. I begged them to call me back that day and let me know the status of locating the O ring was. I never get a call back. They are horrible about following up with the customer. Today I was informed that I have to pay 50 dollars for a new skimmer and 90 dollars for someone to come put it in. I asked them how they could charge me for a skimmer and labor on a pool that has been leaking since the night I got it. They told me this came directly from the district manager. I have asked for the district managers phone number but they say they cannot give it out. I've asked that the district manager call me. No phone call as of yet. What am I to do?

Stay away from this crooks
This is what they care about at Leslies. I was at the Leslies in Hollywood, FL and was at the counter when I witnessed the gentleman at the counter showing another employee how much he had sold. He told me I needed Alkalinity and proceeded to bring me two buckets of Alkalinity. Since I questioned their tactics at this point, I got a second opinion at another store where they told me my alkalinity was just a little low. This is the same guy that sold me a jug of Phos free and while they have a $29 bottle, he took it upon himself to sell me the $59 one. I was not aware of that and I found out later that chemicals are not returnable. Styay away from these crooks.

Awful treatment
I stopped at Leslies on my way home from work. It was 5 or 6 minutes before listed closing time yet, the door was locked. I could see the employees inside, 1 appeared to be closing out the register. I knocked on the door and pointed at my watch but they ignored me. I had just driven 40 minutes to get there before closing time and that is how I'm treated??? I went to their website and complained but no response. I'm buying equipment and supplies online from others from now on...

Never buy a thing from them
My pool pump gave out. I called Leslie Pools in Vienna Virginia and got a price on the pump, and asked about installation. They said installation was free. I then went down there, and they said show up on Saturday for the a big sale. They reaffirmed the free install, and today (Saturday) I went to buy it. After I paid for it, I said when do I get my installation, and they said to call a number. I said it's free anyway. Both employees told me it was free. Both stood there and said, "We didn't say that." They lied to my face telling me that it was free, and then lied again telling me that they didn't say that. What a horrible place. I'll never buy a thing from them again.
