Poor Service
Hi, I bought aa LG dvd writer ant it is under warranty, I called up company call centre and they gave me address of Hybrid Electronics (Andheri-E). I went there and gave me my Dvd for repair and my request id is (S10B2916020). After two days they gave it back to me and told it has been repaired, I requested them to check and give, but they refused and told me that it is done and no need to check, but surprisingly when i came home and saw it was in d same condition and nothing was done, i called them immediately and reported the same to 1 of their executive named Mira, and to my surprise she said that u should have checked it and taken from here and now nothing can be done but you have to bring the dvd back to service centre.
Please take proper action against this service centre and help me regarding this matter, My name is Mohsin Cyclewala and my mobile No is 9819342885.

Gas dryer recall caused clothing to shrink
LG has a gas dryer recall notice stating that a component is not operating correctly and may cause damage to the clothing.
We submitted a claim for some clothing that shrunk and it was denied because they could not prove the dryer caused the shrinkage. These shirts are new this year, since I purchased the dryer.
How many people have the same claim with the same response.

Poor support for international product
Dear Sir,

My Name is Satyajit Banerjee.I live in Calcutta. I bought an LG Portable DVD Player(Model :-DP351, Serial no.- 811MTNJ001479 from "Sakel" duty-free shop at Ben-Gurion airport Israel last year(30.10.2009) but since 2.10.2010, the unit is having some problem. The sound is not coming from the unit and the remote controller is also not functioning. At the time of the problem the unit was under the warranty and within the warranty period I lodged a complaint, the call no. C10A2925846.
Against the above call no. C10A2925846, a technician was sent from the Calcutta service centre (LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd.Metro Tower, 6th Floor, Kolkata Branch, ) who visited my place and after inspecting the defective set, he consulted with his Area Manager Mr. Siddhartha and told me that, he cannot proceed now and will report to the concern department. Next week I was asked to sent the soft copy of the bills and the warranty card, which I sent and after a few days, I came to know that, -every time the customer have to pay the service charges and spares cost, whenever they need to repair an International Product regardless of the Warranty Period. This was confirmed by your Service Manager Mr.Siddhartha and Miss. Mithumita Bardhan CCO, Kolkata Branch and furthermore no support is possible for this product because of the Warranty Card which is written in Hebrew language instead of English, and for that I was told to contact Israel office to solve this issue.
I used to work for a leading news paper group of eastern India the ABP Ltd.( publications -Andabazar Patrika, The Telegraph) and for that I need to travel abroad for different assignment and many times I purchased lot of electronic items from different international duty free shop and every where I was assured of it, s International Warranty but this time though at the shop the sales person promised me of its International Warranty facility of LG International but in real scenario it is fake.

I hope to notice some response or action as soon as possible. Please find below the details of my address and contact no. A prompt response is highly solicited.

Smooth top electric/convection oven
WARNING, WARNING, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM LG!!! Life's not so good if you do.
I purchased a LG smooth top electric/convection oven in October of 08.
Have had spots in the bottom of the oven for the past several months and the cleaning cycles, soap & water, will not remove them. Contacted LG's live chat customer service & spoke with Gustavo last week. First day I didn't have serial/model number so contacted live chat on 2nd day, and what ' cha know, I got Gustavo again. He told me that sometimes it takes two full cleaning cycles for spots to come up. I specifically asked him if I should run the stove through two complete cleaning cycles. He said yes...that's a total of 6 hours!
Anyway I did and now I have a big old rust spot in the bottom of the oven and the paint is chipping off. Sooooooooo, I phoned the customer service line and got ahold of Tony who I could barely understand. told him he would ahve to speak slowly and louder, which he did. He tells me there is no evidence of any on-line live chat with Gustavo on the 2nd day and no evidence he told me to run it through 2 cycles. The almost $1000 stove is out of warranty, so he gave me the number of the local repairman and said he could come and look and see what is going on. That sill cost me $85 and then they won't be able to 'replace' an oven...All the ovens I have owned over the years did not ever, ever have rust spots in them.
The moral of my story is
RUN FROM ANY AND ALL LG PRODUCTS - they are pieces of crap that you pay way too much money for to be treated this way.

Bad survice and appliences
I have dealt with LG now two times. Neither one was a good experience. The first time I called them about my stainless still dishwasher rusting on the outside along with my microwave. It was within the first year of purchase and they said they do not guarantee the quality of stainless still they use and cannot help me.
Now today I just called because I tried to clean my 30in wall oven and a code F-9 came up with their 1-800 number to call them about the error. The customer representative could not tell me what the code was or where I could find my cereal number for the oven at. Then when I asked for a manager she put me on hold for 12 min. From their she came back to tell me he still isn’t available and by that time I found the number and she proceeded to tell me well I told you inside the oven. She was very rude and not understanding. She did not have the intent to care for the customer. I asked her if it was on worrenty and she said she dose not know because I do not have my original purchase receipt and the oven was made in 2008 and that is why I am giving you the repare shop to call and see what your problem is. I am doing this to help you (very rudly). The customer representative was very unprofessional and rude and will never purchase an LG again.
I needed to get my refrigerator yet and will not go with LG between their quality and customer service they do not deserve to be in business.

Refrigerator
We bought an LG refrigerator a couple years ago and have had nothing but trouble. It cost $2, 600 and was supposed to be "top of the line". It's the model with freezer on the bottom and icemaker on left side. The ice maker constantly jams, and the only way to "fix" is to remove the ice bin and then spend 1/2 hour cleaning up your entire kitchen floor from all the ice that spills all over. We've had repairmen come 3 times and they replaced a part once, but even said, the part wasn't the problem. It's the design. And LG will just keep sending someone out -- they'll say everything is fine -- and you'll go round and round in this circle. Other problems are the doors do not shut without closing them. They catch on each other. Also had a seal tear and had that replaced just recently. I really hate this refrigerator and I've never paid so much for an appliance in my life. DO NOT buy LG frig!

faulty washing machine
washing machine purchased on 12sep2010 has been found faulty and only lip service paid by customer service.model-wf-t-8519pr.complaints on customer care are just not helping. kindly help as such attitude is not accepted from a reputed company like lg.

pdp crack
I purchase this plasma in 1/10/10 from sears and i was in kitchen and tv been on allday on music choice so as i walked by i notice that the screen was black i assume music choice screen saver or sumthing then later i went to change channel it would come on thers three cracks in glass leading from the frame one going on over the top and the mid comes out maybe an half an inch and third is going across the bottom of tv. Called Sears and set nup tech two weeks later he came out an third party tech may i add and tells me straight up that his boss joel never approves replacement and that he sees no impact that i have caused the crack so i calls Sears immiditally and a month later the higher ups tells me that they dont replace crack frames becuase they cant determine if i did it or was it a manufacture defect soooo now they have pawn me off to the maker Lg and now im going toe to toe with them same process as sears with sending a tech that just looks at it and comfirms crack wow but already knows that they dont replace cracked pdp.

lgchatterville and its admin
i and many others have participated in the lgchatterville competition i won 500 airtime twice but stil have nothing to show for it some people even won fones but never received anything i cant help but think this is a scam because the competition has been runing for almost 2months now and not even 1 person has received their prize.the official website says no prizes will be awarded after 3pm but competition ends on the 18th of october that also has got me confused...i try communicating with the admin on the facebook lgchatterville group but i get ignored please look into it and if this is a scam then lets save eachada the missery of LG getting a bad reputation and for me to stop having high hopes for something thats not coming

Does not hold up for price
I have a LG front load washer purchased in Feb 2008. Washer has broken shaft on steel drum and damage to plastic drum cover.When I contacted LG for warranty which states stainless steel drum has lifetime warranty, I was referred to a Sears repair technician and told the shaft was not covered. Poor quality and warranty coverage not clear. Will not purchase another LG washer.
