Professional Engineer gets stumped by microwave oven by LG.
2 year old microwave oven by LG goes dead in the water.
One week to get LG to send a serviceman.
$128 flat fee paid for the call.
LG sent the serviceman in with the wrong part(the famous "magnetron") despite having had correct model number communicated to them.
Had to help serviceman remove the unit from the wall and take it to their shop.
Was told it would be a week(since this past Monday - today is Friday PM)
20 minutes ago I received the call - your part is back ordered - it will be approx. 2 weeks until it gets here.
One clear message - stay away from LG microwave ovens - do your homework - search on the internet - seethe horror stories.
