Medical Aid incompetency
Since January we have had trouble with Liberty Medical Scheme .They do not want to recognise my daughter who is a full time student at NMMU as a child.We could not obtain proof in January because the University was closed.Finally it got sorted out and we even got a reimbursement of the overpayment last month.This month I was dismayed to find that the deduction of R1753 had not been taken off.I phoned them up they acknowledged that it was their mistake and told me to pay in the money and send a fax to prove it.Last Thursday I paid in the R1753 and sent them a fax.On Saturday my wife needed drugs for her epilepsy.The Pharmacist said we were still suspended.Today Monday I phoned them they said they had received the money and fax but were unable to reinstate me as the document of proof has not got the University heading on it.MY QUESTION IS WHY DID THEY NOT CONTACT ME TO TELL ME THIS? My wife had a major series of fits on Saturday night because we have no anti epileptic drugs.Surely there is some authority I can complain to about this injustice!

Claim payments and double deductions
I have been on the telephone line for the last month sorting out Contribution Payments. Then all sorted, they have received everything, FINALLY my medical aid status was corrected, just to see, Liberty DEDUCTING double contribution payments for March 2010?? This putting me in the red with all my other accounts. I contacted them last week Wednesday, the 3rd of March 2010, first to be told that i did not pay for the month of February 2010 ?? So back to square 1. So sorry they say, it was a mistake on their part, within 5 WORKING days my moneys will be repaid into my account. HAHA - this morning, the 8th of March 2010, I phone again, just to be told, no no, it takes 5 to 7 working days, to PROCESS the query (which is scheduled for tomorrow the 9th). THEN it goes into their payout Q, only on Fridays, and mine MIGHT not be on the Q this Friday.
NOW tell me PLEASE - that double deduction that Liberty made, was calculated into my TIGHT budget, and now i have to wait THREE WEEKS to get my moneys back for a mistake on Liberty's side????? *********!!! You go explain this to my other detors. I want to hand in my cancelation notice - SERVICE NOT ACCEPTABLE - I do not have time for this!!!
