Ron Maggio is forming a business out of a shelled out garage in White Plains to compete with Life Alert but he is the one who has 'fallen and can't get up'.
After explaing his start-up plan and why he needs more staff, he had a third party, Ron Coen of CallCenterToday.com, call me up at home and interview me via telephone.
After what seemed like a successful interview Mr. Coen asked me to visit Mr. Maggio for a handshake and perhaps for a tour of his ratty garage too where LifeFone clients are to be monitored and tracked. Mr. Maggio postponed with me several times so that his brother could meet me and when I arrived there was no brother around. He had 'gone on an appointment'.
Then he explained the same start-up plan that he already explained over the phone only a week before. He asked me to call back for another appointment but when I did his brother was 'getting treatment for cancer'. How dreadful. TMI TMI TMI . The Maggio family health problems should not be a recruitment issue.
This dude is not prepared to post an ad, talk to anyone over the phone about it, or hold meetings at his ratty garage over it. Go and look at the garage at 16 Yellowstone Ave. It does not even have a sign. I would not even park in the littered parking spaces - I left my car on the street!
Pass this compay up and call Life Alert instead if you want to get a good service for your family.
