I was in Puerta Plata at LHVC from 2/14/09 through 2/21/09 and took 8 friends of whom 4 bought into the vacation club at Platinum Villa level which upgraded my level so we are all Platinum Villa level. All transportation to and from the resort from the airport was arranged by the resort based on my itinerary from Kennedy to Santiago. Once my friend bought in at the villa level, free transportation was arranged with a limousine by the customer service department. On the date of departure we were in the lobby at the appointed time (9:30) for 10:00 departure to Santiago in order to get there in enough time to get there well in advance for our 1:00 flights. The limo was late and waiting for us at the wrong location. One of the guests found the limo driver and told him where we were. At this point it was 10:30. the limo took us to Puerta Plata airport which was the wrong airport. The driver said he was told to take us to Puerta Plata even though the resort knew my itinerary clearly stated my departure was from STI. I had also checked on this twice prior to departure.

We missed out flight and had to purchase tickets on another airline. LHVC has refused to reimburse me and I have had difficulty contacting and communicating with them. I sent all receipts and documentation about this and we are now into the month of April and this has not been resolved. The people to whom I have spoken have changed their stories and passed me from one person to the next.
My guests who bought in also have been given the run around and have been lied to.

I think that this should be investigated by the media via some type of undercover report. I am not only our almost 600. for a one way ticket back to the US but also am stuck with a one way return from STI to the US that I cannot exchange or use other than return from STI airport!
I plan on letting the media here in NYC know about this.
