I paid for a cancelled dress
I found the perfect cheap dress on the website. I placed an order for the said dress however the order did not go through and I sent a the company an email asking them for assistance. I followed their instructions and the order placed on the dress was CANCELLED. I re-ordered the product, this time the price was cheaper $134.29, which made me glad. Within 3 to 4 weeks my dress had arrived two days later the Cancelled dress was also delivered to my home. Then a day or two later I received my credit card bill and I was charged for the cancelled dress, $141.29 to be exact. So now I was forced to pay for two dresses. Confused I sent the company an email about my dilemma, I told them that I was charged for the cancelled dress, in response they acknowledged that the product was cancelled before it was charged onto a credit card. I was hoping they would fully reimburse me because the problem was on their behalf. Unfortunately it did not turn out that way. I was cooperative and patient with them, I sent them documents and answered their inquires. But nothing was done. At one point I got my credit card company involved hoping they might give me some assistance in getting my money back. But the credit card card company told me I had to return the cancelled dress in order to get my money back. I had intended on returning the cancelled dress as soon as I got it but to quote Lightinthebox "As for the return, we are sorry that we only accept return if the purchased item comes with any quality issues, for instance: size, color, appearance, material, handwork; etc within 30 days after the shipment. If there is no quality problems, we could not arrange the return for you." Though I explained to them that it was their fault I received and paid for the cancelled the dress, they would not accept my request to return the cancelled dress. I had to reluctantly accept the fact that I was not going to get the $141.29 back. Truthfully I was completely satisfied with dress, I would have most likely bought more products from lightinthebox but my experience with them has left me a bit bitter and extremely worried that this might happened again.
