I'd paid my WA-MU Chase card ON-TIME every month. Not only that...I PAID CHASE $300 dollars each month for my 4K card when my minimum amount for payment was only $50-$75 per month! They had the audacity to tell me that I was not worthy of this credit with them because it was the only debt I owe! Now, I'm retired and everything else I have is paid for...this was all the credit I had NEEDED. Fortunately for me, I had not tried to tender this worthless piece of plastic anywhere and had not been humilated as I see some of you have. My heart goes out to you. I lambasted them on their web site and then they had the stupidity to reply to that e-mail: "If you are having problems paying your card, you may want to pay it on-line." I replied: Why? So you can attempt to cancel the checking account that I, thank God, DON"T have with you??? Before you insult me and make me any angrier than you already have...check your f***ing records before you embarrass yourself any further!" In addition to that, take me OFF your e-mail list!" Now, they will get the MINIMUM payment, by law, from me each month. I believe this jesture was to make us small cardholders angry enough so that we'd just go ahead and pay the thing off! No, that's just what they'd LIKE...is to get rid of us. I know it will cost me more in the long run, but they're NOT "Chasing" me off that easily. They'll just have to work a little longer to get that money out of me! Maybe if enough of us band to together, we will get a class action suit going against them!
