Lindelles Studious Reviews

Pamela May 12, 2009
Poor customer service
We were disappointed with the photography services provided by Lindelle's
Studios through one of their independent contracted photographers who
covered our wedding June 30th 2006.

We received a courtesy call about 2 months following our wedding indicating
that our Photo "Proofs" would soon be delivered. We indicated at that time
(as well as in a survey which was mailed to us about a month earlier) that
we were not very satisfied with the professionalism of the photographer. He
did not make things run naturally, insisting we take traditional posed shots
even when we opted to skip certain shots, and getting very aggravated when
additional poses were suggested by us or our guests at our approval.

After numerous calls to the office, only to be put through to voice messages
each time, we received our proofs in the mail two to three months after the
wedding. After having waited so long, we were rather disappointed in the
photos lack of detail.
There were limited close-ups and nothing exceptional about the photo quality
in general.

A few more calls were made to the office to inquire whether the proofs
(which were said to be 'actual size" 5.5inch squared shots) would be edited
before the final selections were placed in our chosen albums. I was able to
speak with a representative once before mailing back the proofs. The
gentleman informed me that any editing made to the photos would be an
additional charge and that the proofs chosen would be placed in our album
'as is'. He instructed me to take the matter to the customer service
department and gave me a name and extension which to call.
I had no luck in reaching anyone at the given extension and resorted to
leaving 2 voice recordings asking someone to get in touch with me. I also
sent a detailed email (to an address given through the customer service
department) regarding our situation.

After a month had gone by, myself and my husband began making numerous calls
to the office to inquire when our albums would be delivered. Neither of us
received any response to our phone calls, or to my two emails in which I had
left home and mobile numbers for myself and my husband.

Sometime in November, my husband finally was able to speak with someone (not
a recording) at the Lindelle's corporate office. He expressed our
frustration at having not heard anything from anyone, having sent 2 emails
and various voice messages at different extensions. The lady he spoke with
indicated that she was sorry and that she was calling to give us the
wonderful news that our albums had just been shipped off.

A few days later, (The week of Thanksgiving), we were at my husband's
parents home in PA where a voice mail awaited us from the Lindelle's office.
The message indicated that our photos were 'ready to be delivered'
awaiting address confirmation.
This further frustrated us, because not only had my husband earlier been
told the photos were already mailed, but our post wedding address and phone
numbers had been confirmed when the proofs were mailed out months before as
well as via email in my previous attempts at correspondence.

I returned the call (The day after Thanksgiving) and left yet another
voicemail confirming our NJ mailing address.
Almost 6 months after our memorable event, we received our "deluxe album"
with the very same proofs which had been printed and previewed to us months
earlier.

At this point, we had already come to the conclusion that some of our best
wedding photos were captured by friends and families’ own digital shots. We
had long since considered our poor photographer choice water under the
bridge. What infuriated us was the COMPLETE lack of communication or show
of empathy during the five and a half months we waited for our photo albums.
Further, what we could not understand was why it took that long to put the
very same 'proofs' we had received months earlier, with only two 5x7
enlargements into a plain white album.

Our deluxe album was plain white with gold printed trim and appeared to be
something anyone could have picked up in Wal-Mart for under $15 dollars.
Our Two parent albums were also simple, consisting of 20 pages, only 10 of
which contained photos (Because that was the limit set through our
contract).

Once our albums had been shipped, we were finally able to speak with a
representative from the customer service department to express our
disappointment and frustration. The gentleman offered to upgrade our parent
albums to the 'deluxe parent album' with twenty pages and twenty photos.
This was before we had actually received our albums. Once they were
received, I again called the last representative to whom we spoke with and
was fortunate enough to leave a message and have it returned the same day.
He stressed the fact that we signed a contract and that these were the
standard albums provided through our contract. I expressed my understanding
that we may have been mislead by what we were to receive but that the
quality was notably anything but professional and the company's lack of
communication with us throughout the entire waiting period was even more so.
I questioned him as to why, if this was a standard album provided by their
company, it took months for them to deliver it to us. He could not respond
and again suggested we return our parent albums to be upgraded to the
'deluxe' version. I asked whether doing so would take as long as the
original albums did and he said he could not verify whether or not that
would be the case.

In anticipation of another possible long wait, I suggested they send the
albums to us so that we could put the photos in ourselves. The
representative agreed that this could be done as soon as we mailed back to
them the original empty parent albums. This was done, and within two weeks
of returning their original albums, we received our 'deluxe albums' which
were also simple black twenty page albums, this time with a thin gold trim
around the front and back cover.

No correspondence has been made by the company since then to see if any
further satisfaction has been gained by sending us these 'deluxe parent
albums' in a timely fashion. However, after having waited almost six
months to hear from anyone following our wedding date, we are not surprised
and will not hold our breaths. I also suppose they are already aware there
is no coming back after such gross disregard for proper customer service and
will not try to contact us.
