STAY AWAY!!! We had a salesman come door to door and talked us into switching from Directv to Dish Network. The savings were approximately $80 so we agreed since we were not in contract with Directv anymore. We were told that we were signing a 1year contract with Dish Network and if we decided to cancel at anytime, we would have early termination fees from Dish. No big deal. The salesman placed a contract in front of us, so as a concerned consumer, my husband tried reading over the contract before he signed. Everytime my husband would try and read a line of the contract, the salesman says "Oh, all it reads is this, I will just summarize it for you." So, thinking this man is honest, we let him summarize some of the paragraphs. My husband asked him directly if there were any seperate contracts with Linx and the salesman says no. My husband signs the contract. We were unhappy with Dish Network and decided to cancel, knowing we would incur a fee. We received our credit card statement and Linx billed us for $450!!! I called immediately, spoke with the owner. He said it was up to the customer to read the contract before it's signed. I explained to him we tried, but the salesman would interrupt and "summarize" what the paragraphs read. He then begins to tell me that since he was not in my house that day, it's my word against his salesman and since he runs a business he will believe his salesman over the customer. My husband has tried calling repeatily trying to resolve this issue and every number he calls says he's not calling during normal business hours, try back later. It list the business hours on the recorded message. He calls during business hours and gets the same recording. This company is a complete scam, I hope they get enough people upset that we could file some sort of class action lawsuit.

Unacuthorized charge to my credit card
My husband and I changed our satellite service from Dish to Directv when a young man from Linx Satellite Inc came to our house. We were told they needed our credit card number to check to make sure we had not been Directv customers before. We were told no charges would be put on our credit card. Just to be sure, I checked my credit card charges on line in August and found no charges. When I received my September bill, I found a charge for $79.99. I called Linx Satellite Inc and was told it was an activation charge. We had never been told there would be such a charge and did not give permission for the company to put the charge on our credit card.
