Found this company on Craig's list. They advertised $1.50 per square foot installation. We contacted the number provide and spoke with Ken Olialo the beginning of Jan. 2009, to do a tile installation at a rental property. After stalling us a week, I called him asking him for references because I couldn't find the company on the internet. He told me he would send that information via email to my business partner. He never did. When we called again he gave references over the phone for us to call. After calling these people we decided to continue with his company. He made an appoinment with my business partner this past Tuesday and pulled a "no show". Then today the appoinment was for 6am and he called the night before to say he wouldn't be able to make it til around 10am. I arrived at 9:30am and called to tell him I was there, I was told they were on their way, at around 10:15am they called to say there was traffic. At 11:30am a man shows up, measures the rooms and tells me it will be $1.50 a square foot but now all of a sudden they are going to charge an extra $100 per bathroom because they have to supposedly remove the toilet and make extra cuts. I told him I would have to speak to my partner before authorizing the additional cost. But his worker could start on the bedroom and the kitchen. He then calls back to say he is pulling his worker from the job to finish another job and would send someone on Friday. It was clear this was a way of putting us over a barrel since we were in a time crunch to prepare this home for our tenants. Needless to say I told him I would hire someone else. I would not recommend this supposed company, that supposedly has a license and states in their ad "We do it all at the lowest prices and are willing to work within your budget!!!"
