LIving Christian Reviews

Walty December 4, 2010
Very misleading and fraudulant
Same as other complaints I see, I was going for what looked like a good 6.95 sample CD. I received it and set it asside for some time to listen. Two weeks later my wife asks me what the $79.95 charge is on the card. There'd been no mention of any membership, free trial, etc. They stated company policy that all sales are final and would not give a refund. I asked if they planned to tithe the full amount the took from me or maybe 4 times, like Zacheus. Anyway, somehow they agreed to give me $40 back, but not sure where that rationale came from. I should've take them to small claims court but that would be wrong. My main concern is that maybe this is a legitimate solidly christian organization that just doesn't realize that it's being used to scam people out of their money. I hope they reade these complaints, then. Meanwhile I encourage everyone to stay away.

robbery
Company charges credit cards without approval, wife agreed to a 6.95 charge and was charged 79.95 and then 86.90 and they were unable to continue because the card was near its limit other wise they would have robbed us blind. How can these people stay out of jail for operating this way ???????????

Not true to web site.
Received 2 CD's as a set. Was not told the next shipment would be $79.95. Did not find out the cost until my credit card company called to see if it was ok to let it go through. I told them NO but some how it was on my charge. I called and they said I was to return the 2 CD's and they would credit my account. On the letter that was enclosed said I could keep 1 CD and send the other one back. While I talked to Bill from Living Christians he told me I had to send back both of them. I feel this is a rip off because they never told you how much this item was going to cost. Be Very Careful Of This Site!!!

Fraud
Like the others i ordered a one time sample for $6.95, I sent a follow up email stating this was a one time charge and have been fighting them to get the charges off my card ever since. They have charged different amounts for a total of $235. I was sent a Request for Refund Form and was told I had to fax it to 707/864/4196 and my money would be refunded in 24 hours. The fax number on the form was wrong. Called customer service was given 212/342/3780 that is the number for a surgical room in a hospital. When asking for a number for corporate they would not give me one. First they would not give me a fax number other than the wrong one. Finally they gave me 213/347/0223 which did go through, but I have not received a confirmation they received it.

This is a scam. I never received anything for the additional charges. THIS IS A SCAM.

[email protected] responds with nothing they can do, just call customer service.

Fraudulent credit card use
This company had somebody else use my credit card number to order merchandise. Their customer service admitted that they did not ask for expiration rate or security code or billing address. (To my relief, AmEx denied the charge.)

False information
On their website it does not state anything about charging $79.95. It isn't till you get the software in the mail that it states that they will be charging you for the software. It doesn't even say how much they will be charging you. You have to call to find this out. At the time we called their systems were down, and they could not cancel the account. We were told to call back later that day. We called 3 times that day and were finally told by the person we called that they would fax a screen shot to their corporate office stating that we wanted to cancel this account and that the problem would be resolved. A week later we were then charged $79.95 for this, and when we called their number again, we were still told that they couldn't get into the system. At this time we were then overdrafted on our account. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a front end operation for another company. When I asked for a corporate telephone number, I was told that they didn't have one, and that the only way they have contact is through email. On a previous complaint they listed this company:
